Thanks for your quick response. Seems to be realistic numbers.$ 550 x 4 years with a graded increase each year

I have no idea really , deals the club make will be what they are , don’t expect any super deals I don’tThanks for your quick response. Seems to be realistic numbers.
Matamua, Feledy and Sukkar would be the ones to be offloaded. Faagutu maybe next but there's a lot to like about his game.I’d expect a few of the players on the lower end of the earning scale to be paid out, similar to what happened with Reilly and Mansfield at the beginning of 2024 preseason.
pure speculation and not my opinion in terms of who’s more talented than who, but looking at where they’re at in the pecking order I feel as if Faagutu, Feledy and Saukuru might get a tap on the shoulder, and they may well assess doing the same with Matamua.
Staines doesn’t lack for effort, but he seems to lack any real penetration. Doesn’t bust tackles or beat the first man on a kick return and often gets pushed back / dominated in the tackle. He might have speed in open space if he’s put away, but how often does that happen at NRL level, particularly at the Tigers. Powerful and explosive is the currency of the modern NRL winger.I'd rather see
1. Bula
2. Staines
3. Olam
4. Turuva
5. Skelton
6. Galvin
7. Luai
I can add a +1 for this.Yep how many WAGS hate Wests Tigers, hate the anger & swearing it creates for 80 mins every weekend & the mood that follows lol
If it's a choice between Nick Lui Toso or Knight on a train and trial I certainly know who i preferJust a mention given his name has come up a couple of times. Liam Knight ran for 197 meters, made 53 tackles and played all 80 minutes for the dogs nsw cup side on the weekend
I’m with Tito on this one. For me Sam has been our best this year. Api a close second but Sam’s consistency is what does it for me. He is the real deal and I pray goes on to become a club legend.Been our best player is a insult to other players , yes he is right up there with api , but he hasn’t had to beat much in are crap team
Played together for ItalyMy memory was they used Mini who played with Teddy in state of origin. What's the bet they are now using Teddy to negotiate with Moses.
Didn’t Lui Toso go back to Cairns earlier this year?If it's a choice between Nick Lui Toso or Knight on a train and trial I certainly know who i prefer
Agree. Would hope if Douiehi put his head down and trained a whole season he could sort out his defence but increasinly thinking that's never going to happen. Hope I'm wrong...If it comes down to either Staines or Douehi being in the backline though I'm having Staines all day
Agree - I'd be looking to upgrade it's just the best option we have right now.Staines doesn’t lack for effort, but he seems to lack any real penetration. Doesn’t bust tackles or beat the first man on a kick return and often gets pushed back / dominated in the tackle. He might have speed in open space if he’s put away, but how often does that happen at NRL level, particularly at the Tigers. Powerful and explosive is the currency of the modern NRL winger.
BB, whats this comment based on? Potential or form? I haven't seen much from him this season.Matamua, Feledy and Sukkar would be the ones to be offloaded. Faagutu maybe next but there's a lot to like about his game.
Saukuru is definitely one of to keep. He'd be playing first grade right now if he wasn't injured
Matt Croker and Jesse Colquhoun are both young, highly talented and with great work ethics. There's a few unheralded types of forwards out there I'd love this club to have on the roster.
The Titans really have such a strong group of forwards & guys like Joe Stimson & Jaiman Jolliffe would be great additions to the squad. Stimson is off contract- and I know a lot will go "he's nothing special".
But he's also through the Storm system, Bulldogs & now Hasler's Titans. He's a defensive rock who absolutely dominates the State Cup while playing a strong role when called on into 1st grade. But, on top of that- he sets standards & is wanted by his coaching staffs everywhere he goes. I think as our #13 or even starting at prop, he will defend the middle for all he is worth- one of the keys I believe to turning the club around.
Jolliffe is that typical bush bashing tough guy. He's under contract, but that Titans pack is stacked for good props. I'd be interested to see if the idea of starting wouldn't get him interested.
Mat Croker I've mentioned before. Same as Horsburgh & Hetherington.
If we can hold the middle of the field & get strike from our wide forwards, good dummy half attack & some impact through Pole & Sione Fainu off the bench- I believe our forward mix is better than it currently is.
I'm particularly interested in investing in intelligent forwards over physical specimens. I want guys that work to a plan- think Melbourne type props. Christian Welch, for example. But they additionally need to be strong. Not concerned about speed so much, or height & weight. I want guys that can hold their own one-on-one & not need 3-4 guys bringing a player down in the middle.
I'd have Toa above the other 2. He has been cursed with injury this year but played well last season and not just in 1 game as many seem to pretendAgree - I'd be looking to upgrade it's just the best option we have right now.
Other option I can see is...
1. Bula
2. Skelton
3. Olam
4. To'a
5. Turuva
Honeslty...flip of the coin at this stage between who gets final spot between Staines, To'a and Douiehi in my mind. All have pro's all have cons in my mind. I lean towards Staines cause he is consistent - always puts his hand up for work, makes 120+ metres and is an okay finisher.
Yep agree. Outgoings just as important as incomings…while Skelton’s a brilliant signing in a position of need, we’re still a long long way away from being out of the woods.
we currently have two free roster spots with Sione certain to re-sign, Sezer’s future up in the air, and Tumeth has an option in his favour.
I expect Bateman won’t be back but that’s only one spot. a handful of players have been shopped to no avail and some have been handed full time contracts that aren’t deserving whatsoever.
it’s going to make for interesting viewing.
