1 just didn't extend his contract, wasn't releasedI’m betting on at least two of them not being shit at their new clubs.

I liked Ice. Although I think he played his best footy for us at Lock at the end of the year. Its interesting that the same fans who hated the International backrowers we did have are also championing our reserve grade middles to replace them.
It might work out...I doubt it though.
Mate Bird will almost surely play right Back row based on the current squad with Pole or Maybe T May playing 13Out of ten I give the following ,
Bula 7
Skelton 6.5
Olam 7.5
Toruva 7.5
Stains 7
Galvin 8
Laui 9
Bird 7
Samuel’s 8
???
May 8.5
API 8.5
Klemmer7.5
Pole 7
Seyfarth 6.5
Hunt 6.5
????
I think Ice played his best footy after he signed with Penrith and was happy he was leaving. Neither player wanted to be here.I liked Ice. Although I think he played his best footy for us at Lock at the end of the year.
Bateman had to go though regardless. His attitude was cancerous and had the potential to destabilize the whole place. Plus he was junk on the field anyway
Yep that’s my take. The monkey was off his back and he played footy.I think Ice played his best footy after he signed with Penrith and was happy he was leaving. Neither player wanted to be here.
Lets stop thinking in Dollar terms.Ice Papalii ? The same one we moved to lock because he was ineffectual on the edge ? 450k for garner seems right to me. As if he’s on 275k ? Below league average ? Bullshit. There’s no way an nrl club hasn’t come calling for more money , to drive that up.
Hopefully you are right mate, would be good to have a couple really talented hookers on the books when API retires. Seen on twitter that he has been spotted doing extras with his brother, Josh Aloiai & a few other manly players - tho this could just be for fitness.
I have to say after looking up some photos of Ashton it does look really similar to the youngster posted by Sea eagles

Did the young ones that got a run in the NRL side come to any harm?100%, really hope they hold him back and manage him properly. Throwing him just for the sake of it, like we have done recently with a number of younger ones, can do more harm than good.
We are awash with hookers.Yeah, that's him
We are awash with hookers.
That's probably why he thinks his chances are better elsewhere.
Can't keep them all, especially 16yr olds that think they they should be in NRL in 2 years time?

In terms of getting ahead of themselves, then yes. Miller was sacked, Galvin, Laulili and Da Silva punished for missing team bus, Fainu breached, and Mason was reprimanded. Dont hear of our seasoned players having these issues. Let them earn it properly first.Did the young ones that got a run in the NRL side come to any harm?
Think they got a taste of what to expect.
Up to them to step up -------- or they were never going to be at NRL level anyway.
