Signings, Suggestions & Rumours Discussion

Watched Adel Hage’s podcast last night, interesting he spoke about recruitment officers he said wests Tigers have 1 Shannon Gallant, chooks 5, and dogs 7. No wonder we are behind on recruitment, typical Tigers trying to save a buck
It's a really insightful weekly episode with Adel. He provides opinion from a coach's perspective plus has some interesting takes on club goings-on from his links associated with or close to the club.

He gives some good options on players Richo should target, where some of the toxicity in this Galvin situation has likely come from (a Tim Sheens theme here) and an underlying issue the WT face in terms of junior development (i.e. money & resources compared to the Bulldogs, Roosters & co).

The club needs more significant benefactors or financial sponsors to help fund our pathways & player development academy. We have no Laundy or Politis and HBG don't tip in enough for this.

Maybe Blue Wiggle can come to our rescue and be the overarching contributor to our pathways!

Have a watch everyone ... it's very much what we talk about on here.

HBG must be really tight if this is truly the case … the NRL fund all the clubs with plenty of overs and the WT seem to have some bigger sponsors at the club these days …

Storm have full and part time but have weekly talent reviews. We are totally under staffed in this space but at the same time our coaching structures in the lower grades are a massive issue - even if we could get talent and focus on them the coaching/development is all basically best effort.

Need to spend money to make money this is an area that pays off.

I’m front of who ? Serious question .. may- now way , pole -no way , twal is a lock , hunt is a battering ram , and fainu offers way more .
He would have 18th man most weeks . He made the right choice
Pole is injured mate. He would be fifth drop for prop ie depth for inevitable injuries, like now. I know there are mitigating factors re contract but we are now in a situation where Kit L probably has to come into the side either this weekend of if we have another injury.

He would not get a game over May. Pole is out injured. Hunt is a role player that cannot cover the minutes of anyone else listed. Sione is a permanent member of the top 17.

There is no point in keeping 700k Klemmer given his role in the pecking order as log as you have someone that can cover injuries in the others.

We don't. We have had Sukkar and Seyfarth covering the front row and for some reason Kit can't get a game. If that is our front row stocks & the club is not confident in playing Kit, then no way Klemmer should have been let go without some replacement.

Yep cap is not our issue it's cattle.

He would of been a burden next year no doubt and it may prove to be a masterstroke, but as of now we are worse off for not having him, even if he played 3/4 of the year in cup.

I really think Richo should now tell Bula , after the season has finished, that he is free to go elsewhere immediately. It's 1.01 that another Galvin situation is incoming if he doesn't.
This fiasco has blown up the season, we don't need it to happen again. Bula isn't that good that we should risk it.
At the end of the day tge player can tell him Manager. To F*off if his manager is trying to pry him away from the club and the player wants to stay…with Galvin and his family, they “drove” Galvin off the bus, their manager just took over the steering wheel

Give one of our best players the flick, that seems smart. Who do you replace him with?

If the player has a brain they decide.
He's already made the decision to have Moses as his manager, that's the only decision that counts.
Even if he re-signed for 10 years, that's 10 years of Moses destabilizing the club, spreading rumors, having his tame journos write stories about how his client isn't being used properly.
This is the time to cut all ties.

I'm also wondering how Bula sympathisers reconcile in their minds that he has sat back and watched his own manager destroy the season without trying to terminate his association with Moses.
The answer to any clear thinking person is that he holds no allegiance to the club and is all in with Moses.
He'll be leaving anyway, so Richo should get ahead of the game.
In reality he's probably the15th best fullback in the comp. He's very replaceable and his Moses baggage is way too big a burden.
