Signings, Suggestions & Rumours Discussion

I prefer May at prop. While he can play lock, it would take away from his best asset which is his ball running and offloading which creates second phase play. If he was to play the lock role he would need to shift his focus from ball running to ball playing.

I think we would be much better served leaving him at prop and getting an out-and-out ball playing lock with good leg speed. Twal definitely is not a lock, but i believe the reason he is there and not May is that Terrell is just too good at prop to move and lose his running and offloading output.

If anyone should go to lock its Sione... He has the quickest play the balls of all our forwards, has really good leg drive, leg speed and footwork at the line. He also has really good hands and ball playing ability. He just needs to work on his fitness so he can punch out 55-60mins.
Do you think Latu could
Play lock. That would keep Mason at 6. Assuming both continue to show elite first grade qualities

Good question.

I’d throw 650.

If he performs, we can look at raising it in stages.

Otherwise I’d have a caveat, we can walk out of it with only limited liability.

So I’d try to get him to back himself.

He would appreciate that Benji is a different kind of coach than Des.
650k seems reasonable and if he doesn't perform its not like another club wouldn't nab him for say 300 - 350k for us to let him go with a year to go on his deal. If we could bottle his devastating form he is capable of he would be an awesome signing, all of a sudden we potentially have a 2nd row the opposition would have nightmares about.

Am I missing something with Tyrone May. Is he just being suggested here because he's one of the brothers? Was pretty bog average in the nrl, doesn't seem to have done much over there either. Not a single man of steel point this season
Because the teams he plays in win be it on the bench or in the halves they win.
Plus he offers great utility value - the perfect 14 in nrl and a great option as halves backup

Yeah, he will probably want a lot more, but the market gets the jitters with unsettled players.

He said it himself that the truth is not out there. I’d like him to come clean.

If he has a Francis Molo reason, then that’s more problematic. Now that was a reason I understood to be born of ignorance by a third party. That ignorance was making a joke about Francis when it wasn’t appropriate. Frank got very upset.

I’m glad we are sniffing around for Fifita anyway.

My only reservation on KPP is he's been a regular edge forward all season in the team with the worst attacking record
That’s not his fault , he’s always got his arms free and standing in tackles . Their attack is shit , because they’re coached an extremely conservationist style Ala the storm 4 years ago . Too bad even the storm have moved on since then.

I’ve posted before regarding this that the Knights have barely had a halves pairing that’s worked and their attack is all based on getting Ponga good ball.

Really looking forward to seeing KPP with great halves next to him.

Does that mean we’re getting new halves next year ?? 🤣🤣🤣
