Signings, Suggestions & Rumours Discussion

Hate,
You mean hating the morning After?
Seriously RFK is high as a kite most of the time... Their Cocane rich and you can tell their all shooting up something. Musk is either loading through the nose or through a vein.

Ill contrast all this with Ron Paul who I have a tiny amount of respect for, who rightly called out that there was no trial or check if there were Americans on board. But hey It's American Communism under Donnie. Like Stalin he gets things done.
Another clown.

I’m hearing there’s a very good chance Richo will depart the club within the next week.

Absolutely devastating stuff….. Peter V’landys needs to do something because us fans don’t deserve to be held ransom by the HGB group.

I’m not sure how much more I can take as a fan anymore.
They can’t keep a local junior Australian test captain
They can’t keep a multi-premiership winning administrator

They’re not fit to work in football.

Time to rise up as a fan base.

If this goes how we fear I for sure know it’ll be the perfect opportunity for myself to finally detach from this awful stain of a club.

We get hurt and always come back, defending our beloved team while others mock us.

The emotional attachment is just to painful and honesty could be considered self harm at this point. Enough is enough. I have my draft email for a 2026 membership refund request and auto renewal to be turned off ready and waiting.

Actually dumb question. So Collingwood is the most hated team in Australia, right?
I mean NRL it's kinda tied between Brisbane, Easts, Storm and maybe Manly... Collingwood seems to be consistently hated in the AFL community.

Yet the NRL Magpies in their day, there was none of that. I always saw Wests as the real underdogs. Cheered us when we won, it was rare but it was good. Balmain seemed very different, classier, more of a top team on the pecking order (or at least till Alan Jones came and wrecked them).

Am I right? Am I remembering things?
Depends on how far you go back. Wests were dubbed ‘the millionaire club’ back in the 50’s & 60s. The whole battlers thing was brought into play by Roy Masters in the 70’s and has been carried forward from there.

Balmain have won the third most premierships in their time and were considered a top club early on, but that certainly hasn’t always been the case. From what I can remember growing up they were a pretty average team, their underdog status in the 1969 GF attests to that. The 1980s brought change when they had some great line ups going around. I don’t ever recall Balmain being considered classier though by any stretch of the imagination.

As for Collingwood, they’ve always been one of the most supported and successful teams. Not sure about universally hated unless you’re a Carlton supporter lol. I think the Swans were at one stage on a par with being most hated club especially when they first entered the AFL.

in Victoria it was the collingwobbles,
Collingwood would still be the most hated team down there

As an old Magpie the Balmain sides of the 1980s were awesome. I know I'll leave great players out but players like Jack, Mick Neill, Pearce, Sirro, Blocker and Back Door were outstanding. I still think Elias was the best hooker I've ever seen and tough as nails too. Terrible human but great footballer.
Warren Ryan butchered you blokes in the 1989 GF.
