Signings, Suggestions & Rumours Discussion

They’re gonna have one of the best packs in the comp.
They will finish in front of us next year unless we start to buy some players , we don’t have the talent to bring players up to nrl we need to go buy about 4 / 5 players with some nrl experience first grade or reserve grade back up , I think we are loosing about 6/8 so far

Nikorima has signed with the Dragons. Bloody hell we really should’ve given him an offer, he would’ve been real handy. Dragons are recruiting nicely for next season, they won’t be on the bottom again.
You would think something has to give there.
Val Holmes and Clint Gutho taking up 1.8 mil in cap between them for 2027 according to zero tackle. Add in Metcalfe, Koloamatangi, Drinkwater and Watson on big coin.

I would not be touching Suli or Luch so they can free up coin to re-sign Couchmans, Halangahu, Pasifiki Tonga before Nov.1

Me neither. I'd much prefer Nick Cotric than Moses Suli as a back-up experienced outside back who can play both wing & centre as long as he's no more than $250k.

We’d put him to sleep. Any player that has already been here and failed, it’s a complete waste of time bringing him them back. Junior Tupou for example. Might as well have brought back Aj Kapaoa
Exactly. Bj Leilua 2.0

These are the players that are weak mentally that we for some reason love signing and then wonder why we go to water when things get tough 🤦‍♂️

Suli is friends with the Fainu boys & Schuuster.

I know everyone dislikes him, but being around his friends could get the best out of him.

Think it'd be his last chance for an NRL career.
He'd be good depth.
Don't like the idea of Suli coming here Demps, how many years has he had to get fit and turn his career around, looks for a minute to be in shape and then puts the weight back on again, adding to the fact he's only good for a handful of useful games every season.

As for being around his bros, how's that angle been working out for the team for the last 10 games.

Still can't get out of my head when Suli was here last when he reached 130kgs and hosted a marshmallow night, sitting around with mates gorging on that rubbish, it's a no from me, we have enough problem players.

Roberts has abit of Angus Crichton about him. Like how Sukkar is progressing also, he’s got that Twal professional vibe but still aggressive. Blore would have been a handy addition but if we can keep both and they continue developing we should have some much better depth next year.
Roberts and Sukkar went to the same school, I think only a year apart, I wonder if they played together.

Knights took up their option for big Frank he's there till 28. Croker is a local junior I doubt he's going to leave. ESL not sure about him he's promising though can play middle and edge
Thanks for the info. Croker I've always admired because he has nous. He seems a likely type who would improve our forwards. I think he is from Taree so who knows if he would consider a move?

Suli struggles with motivation even when he was a regular NRL starting centre, so to sign him to basically be a depth player would be a disaster. Some guys play the game because they love it and the money is a bonus, I get the feeling Suli is not one of these players
I can count on one hand the amount of times he’s carved up. One was a final a few years ago for Manly. He channeled Greg Inglis that night. Overall, he’s never lived up to the hype when he came in as a teenager. He was talked up as the next big thing. Yet he’s only ever been an average first grader. Hard to not think Makasini could follow the same career path. Similar age, similar hype.

Pasifika Tonga is the one i think you could shake free...the couchman boys look like they are locked in at the Dragons.

I'd prefer neither. We've had Suli and don't need him again to prove that he cannot do the job. Cotric was too slow when he came into the NRL. I read yesterday Savage come 1 Nov can neg. with other clubs. He is a back with the essential commodity - genuine pace.

I like Ethan as a middle, i think another offseason/preseason in the gym and he will be a beast. Was carrying that foot injury in pre-season which has probably impacted his development.
Have no idea why he was dropped for this week, yes he missed a few tackles last week but looked good, how he is not on the bench at least is mindboggling

We panicked and upgraded blokes when Jerome signed to PNG, we have no money to buy anyone of significance

Cannot comprehend why Benji had both Javon & Ethan on the right side last week, that is mindboggling.

Would have made sense to have Javon on his preferred left side next to a defensive beast in Samuela and strong defender & communicator Luai on the right next to Ethan.

I'm no coach but just using common sense!
