Signings, Suggestions & Rumours Discussion

G'day @trentrunciman: I don't think I have had the pleasure of replying to one of your posts and I promise this one won't hurt.

My feelings about us making the 8 next year are positive.

Presumably, all the players now know what to expect from Madge and therefore want to be there and are prepared to play Madge's style of game whether that is rough, tough and brutal or not.

Add this coming pre-season to the knowledge gained so far, and there is a good chance of our team being a much better prepared and more cohesive unit than the season just gone.

I reckon with a bit of luck re injuries, Wests Tigers can/will do better than just scrape into the eight in 2020, even without Latrell :fa-smile-o: :tiger2:

Some people on here just need to chill. Buying a marquee player is like buying a house. It doesn't just happen, there's numerous visits, negotiations and due diligence that needs to take place before a final offer is made, and even then that offer still needs to be accepted.

You don't just walk past a house, say you'll take it and exchange contracts later that day. That's simply not the way the world works.

Geez, people were panicking last weekend too because it hadn't been announced despite an anonymous report to the contrary on the radio. Madge wasn't even in the country at that stage.

@MAGPIES1963 good work 12mins. I was wondering how long it would take before a forum member pointed out the white was missing!

Well maybe the original poster should have got it right in the first place.

@Bathursttiger2 TheChookpen forum member reported our Chair was flying to Taree yesterday. Obviously the Roosters also have to agree to the release. Some need to settle do

you're definitely an optimist and that's great, and im def a pessimist. I just don't think we have the talent in our squad at present. Coaching is the positive but i don't see the personnel being enough. Hoping you're 100% right and im dead wrong

How dare he point out we have 3 colours and not 2. I’m sure if someone said our colours are black and white you’d have had no complaints.

G'day @Blake-Ayshford: if no one else has welcomed you to Our Wests Tigers Forum yet.......welcome Blake!!! 😛oint_up: :fa-smile-o: :tiger: :santa:

With the highway to Taree being closed, I reckon the coffee shops and particularly the bakery in Gloucester, would be doing a great trade.

@bigsiro
I see it as a bit like fishing. Moments of excitement and a lot of waiting. You get an almighty bite, but nothing, followed by half an hour of tiddlers. You just have to sit it out because you know the big one is still down there. It's just a matter of getting the right bait in the right place.

I must not be the only one that's nervous about this... I know the fires are slowing everything down and rightly so but until it is a done deal I won't be happy.. I just have a bad feeling another club is going to come in at the last min and we miss him...

We won't lose him. Nobody else is in the money like us.
Roosters won't let the rabbits get him.
If anything, I was worried about Newcastle getting him but they don't have the cash.

Where you are you would also have to be concerned about a huge saltwater croc sneaking up on you while you were waiting.Signing a big name player has similar risks the longer it goes on for ...........

As terrible as it is, if Liddle is done for 2020, it's time to move on and find a more permanent solution or find a half decent one until Simpkin comes on.

I think Liddle is a talent but Christ almighty is he made of tissue and spit...

@jadtiger Nah, Not too many crocs out at the reef.
I had a few sneak up on me up in the Territory when I was out night fishing though.
