My point was that comparing Rankin to Momi is more akin to comparing Rankin AND Joseph Manu! Absolutely stupid. I’ll reiterate.

Point taken, I mean they’re definitely on a similar trajectory in my eyes .. highlighted by recent rumours that back to back premiers coach Trent Robinson would love to get him back long term... then there’s the fact the Storm are actively pressing the NRL on this loan deal going ahead.

The debate is surrounding the amount of people on this forum that are all but sold on allowing this bloke to walk out on us, albeit only for season 2020, because I believe that severely weakens

Definitely agree on that assessment. Still not at all sold on Mbye’s goal kicking efforts!

Neither do I. I don’t see the appeal. Not fast, doesn’t really bust tackles. Can’t see him in the 17.

I have the same opinion but he looked good in that short game in the nines. He also finished off some good tries last year. I think we have to give him some time because maybe he will come good. I can't see him ever being a superstar but maybe he can be like Croker for the Raiders.

I think he has footy smarts. My reasoning is based on game observation only - he can find the line and he makes smart decisions. He has footy intuition. Marsters, for all his raw talent does not seem to possess this. He made poor decisions regularly- mainly around when to pass, when to run.
I am definitely concerned about his lack of pace. Not sure where he fits into our team. But he does seem a smart footy player

Best way to describe it!
Look for him to make smart decisions more often than not, instead of the dumb decisions that so many have done for us!
Also think the way he moves makes him look slower than he is. No, he's not in the speedster category but he ain't no snail either!

Haha - yes it was - good comeback! Bellamy would get that out of him!!
But 1st half he did force a handling error by Gagai with some good rushing defence... we scored off that subsequent set.
Overall there's much more upside to the young centre and I won't be to upset if he doesn't swap out for the season.
