CHN and Johnston for me would be great pick ups and at reasonable tariff.
No to Elliot ..... what we need is a tough forward leader. That’s a priority.
So we know McQueen, Taylor, Lawrence, Grant and possibly MCK, Seyfarth & Clark in the forwards and Jennings, Smith and Marshall in the backs are leaving.
Stefano signed and Momo returning going the other way. Simpkins, Madden and Hoffman possibly being promoted. If there is a reduction in NRL squad numbers to say 27 .... then that still leaves us with about 3 positions to fill.

Clark had an outstanding game against the Panthers. Seyfarth is a young forward learning. So you want to get rid if them?

Ah true, I forgot about Momo.

Hoffmann is untested though.

He is... but I think 4 quality players + 1 for depth is pretty solid. Especially if we can move MCK there in a pinch and Zac Cini is coming through Development.

Our winger depth is looking pretty bare though, unless we keep playing our centres there, like Talu and momo.

The only specialist wingers we have contracted is nofa. Jennings finishes this year.

1. or 2 really good signings. The continuation of the recruitment of the best of junior rep talent. Make a priority of transitioning Jock Madden to the NRL to compliment Brooks. Ensure Talau is one of our centres. McIntyre our 13.

From what I saw the other night our forwards can mix it with the best, probably could do with CNH just to give us a forward with some real footwork and skill. I don’t think we need to recruit multiple forwards. Personally I see our major weakness as a goal kicking organising 6 or 7. Maybe Madden will fill the role,but without a reserve grade comp it’s hard to know where Madden is at present.

Its a nice thought but I don't think it is overly realistic. Would love to be proven wrong but I could only see CHN being recruited from that list. JAC linked but imagine he is destined for Souths.

in regards to BJ in the second rownTRex didnit ok and lawrence has made a good fist of the move, joey is a bug body he could be a devastating impact forward.
Plus it likely gives Talau a shot at centre wich is good

Was posted on here in pre-season that Clark was apparently joining his father's business after this season but who knows. I also read an article online that he's been offered up to the UK. Where's smoking gun when you need him?

Wouldn’t be upset at all if we lose both Clarke and Seyfarth don’t really rate either of them at all....

Don’t mind Elliot, however we have plenty of workhorses similar such as Twal, Eseihuth and ET

Good chance ET won’t be kept on, Elliot can also play back row and would suit that role thah MCK/Lawrence have been playing this year, cover lock/prop but can go to second row if needed. He runs well I think

We need to be aiming for at least 2 decent signings a year and build the team that way, things are obvious more difficult with the cap fine and the cap thieves Packer McQueen JR and Mbye. But as these things ease we will be better placed most likely 2022. But for next Year id go for CHN and a top class back like JAC and suppliment from there we have Stefano already coming so things are looking brighter after the Cleary hatchet job.

Would rather pass on Moses Mbye to the storm I reckon. Although he’s been decent this year, he will always be a player that is solid not someone who will break the game open.

I would too but would be too complex due to his salary, doubt Melbourne would pay it and I’d prefer not to pay half of his contract for him to put a storm jersey on

@Teddy23 i reckon they would have a fair bit of interest in Momo comes from a good system like the Roosters but they wouldnt be interested in BJ, Momo could be the carrot to get JAC.
