So Barrett has said he wont raid Penrith's squad but surely that won't stop the Bulldogs chasing Burton. If he wants to follow Barrett it's not up to any one else to stop it happening.

I think it would be fair game because panthers have gRanted them to look because spots are taken and they can sort out their cap.

We'll get Burton, big chance Staines, Laurie will stay.

I was 100% when I gave you Apu, I'm 80% on Burton.

why not Staines? is he staying in Penrith? or got a bigger offer elsewhere

So far no-one has matched the Tigers offer for Burton.,which is way more than Penrith can go, so that's the good news. Staines is hotter property and there's a lot of interest, looks like they want to keep Laurie or he wants to stay.

Wouldn’t want to pay much for a kid who’s barely played grade. He looked solid but didn’t look like a dominant half to me, not sure he fixes too many problems but who knows

Burton would be good but I'd prefer Jackson hastings - well in fact Id prefer both and rid ourselves of Reynolds and Benji and Burton to compete with Brooks.

Burton and Doueihi are both 5/8 can either control a game like a proper halfback? That’s our main issue with our halves at the moment.

we made offers to Stefano, Blore and Luciano that blew their former clubs out of the water in order to secure their futures here, it would seem as though Madge and Hartigan are doing similar once again. similar to Luch and Blore, if he delivers on that promise he showed in the lower grades, it will be justified.

The other big issue is goal kicking. Very limited options out there for a reliable 75-80%+ kicker.

Momo likely back on board next year and he seems to strike them the best out of all our options, but no guarantee he makes the side every week.

I don't know why everyone's so excited about Burton like its guaranteed he won't be another Brooks/any other player who had a few good games early in their career.

A lot of teams would have loved to have poached Brooks that early in his career, and here we are.

Burton would be awesome but I would also like a senior half next to him (and not Brooks). Burton + Foran or Burton + Widdop would make me happy. Brooks can't be the most experienced player / leader of our spine.

It'd be a bit of an issue too because Brooks is here until 2023. But on the other hand he's still crazy young at just 25.
