Mate they won't announce unfortunately but you can guarantee Reynolds and Packer will be with us next year... That's a Lock as no one wants them even at a heavily reduced rate.

I’m just as interested in who Madge and Hartigan bring in to be assistant coaches as I am about the playing roster at the moment. I know they are looking to move Brett Hodgson into a junior pathways role. Has anyone heard about who they are looking at to coach the defense or even coach the halves next year?

Sounds like Staines is in talks with bulldogs according to the papers. Wouldn’t put it past them to offer him big $

They would have a lot of money tied up with outside backs.. Nick C, DWZ, Staines, Hoppa.
Not smart recruitment IMO.

Fair call but I think they'd easily enough find a home for Hoppa and DWZ if they wanted to move them on.

BULLDOG BRUSHED

Trent Barrett has told veteran Bulldogs front-rower Aiden Tolman he is not part of his plans at Belmore. This is a surprise considering Tolman’s game against the Rabbitohs. He topped the tackles count and made 230 metres which was the most of any player on the field.

One of the most honest forwards playing the game 230 meters against Souffs some of our forwards haven't run that far all season

Please delete this post before it gains traction .. thank you

Tolman is another one who has plodded around for years and now his head is on the chopping block he miraculously transforms in to an NRL forward. Sign him on a week to week basis so his head is permanently on the chopping block.

Far be it from me to defend Tolman, but he was 132m and 39 tackles a game last year. Probably better than our best.

Good assistants can make a big difference. Would assume they have someone lined up if they’re already showing old coaches the door

Wouldn’t surprise me if Wayne ‘Snoopy’ Collins is given more of a role in the coaching staff.

Tolman would have been our best forward this year for sure. Not saying he is good but that's where our forwards are.

Benji determined to extend his career
Don’t expect Benji Marshall to announce his retirement leading into his final game for the Wests Tigers this weekend.

Marshall deserves a fitting send-off, however he won’t call it quits on his NRL career despite little appetite from rival clubs for next season. Marshall is holding out hope of a club offering him a deal in the off-season once the salary cap is determined and a few pending player transfers open doors.

Webster is out the door, and if Hodgo is being pushed into pathways then that frees up two positions in the football department. very interested to see who Madge and Hartigan chase. sounds as if Dean Young is off to North Queensland, so that rules him out. guess it'll all be finalised before pre season so we'll find out soon enough.

What a way to destroy his legacy. Why can’t he just go out with grace.

Watched Chris Lawrence interview on Fox tonight and he was all class... Benji needs to watch him as that is how you finish up and will get a good job in footy afterwards.

It just goes to show you the club made the correct decision on Benji as its been like 3 weeks and no NRL club is after him.. Says it all really. Even an Injured Kieran F looks like getting a run at Manly next year and he is injury prone.
I said it weeks ago but Benji will regret not announcing retirement and getting a massive send off by the club and supporters..

A deadset champion both on and off the field, the club would do well to keep him around as a mentor for young players

Early team tips, sounds interesting, what has Madge got up his sleeve in regards to players leaving

Team tips: Scans have revealed cartilage damage to Josh Aloiai’s knee after initial fears he had torn his anterior cruciate ligament. David Nofoaluma has been cleared of injury while Sam McIntyre will need to pass concussion protocols to play this week. Alex Twal (illness) and Luke Brooks (suspension) will return to the side. This will be a farewell game for Tigers legends Benji Marshall and Chris Lawrence, and coach Michael Maguire hinted “a few other guys” also might be playing their last game in the famous strip.

Looking forward to the announcement.
Benji and Lawrence are locked in.
I kinda want a strong team as it would make me sooooo happy if we were to knock parra off and they drop outside the top 4... That alone would make me happy for the whole off season
