Signings, Suggestions & Rumours Discussion

why are people so Anti-Naden. Might be a tad grubby and loud but definitely not hate worthy. I've never seen a bad attitude from him, even though Cleary screwed him over (something we can bond over)

Has speed, skill and willingness to learn from what I've seen.

Cause he’s from Penrith 😂 I’d say the opposite about all the Penrith guys, this year their attitude is what got them so far. Worked so hard on the field, played for each other, didn’t give up on any plays and everyone did their jobs. Sure there might be some niggle but that’s part of the game, wish all our blokes had that same attitude.

Will be interesting with Cordner. Technically he's still ineligible for a medical retirement (and cap exemption) as his injuries are pre-existing and known by the club before entering into the contract.

However if the point of the rule is to safe guard player's wellbeing and not punish clubs for doing the right thing about the player's future health then that's a good thing.

However a change also needs to be made, stating that after a player has successfully been medically retired they are ineligible to ever play NRL or NSWRL/QRL footy again. There can't be grey areas. If it's a career ending diagnosis that needs to be permanent.

If Cordner goes then Packer should be able to go too. Same rules for all.

One of my mates used to run some of the NRL community programs. He said Naden is the nicest player he ever met and was always doing stuff to help out in his own time

I hate the guy on the field too, but I get the feeling he;s the type of bloke you love when he plays for you

If Katoni Staggs is off contract 2022, i would be going after him. I would reach out to Brent Naden right now and ger him over as part of the strategy. Put Naden on a wing and Staggs inside him or sometging like that. Naden could want a release after not being played during finals. Just an Idea

Absolute NO from me for Nadan.

Mr attitude, not amongst our youngsters thanks.

He's not that good and a shocking defender, we already have plenty of those.

Agree Naden carried on when he played us at Bankwest this year he is a goose we can do better than Naden

Former NSW Origin star Jack Bird will return home to St George Illawarra on a two-year deal after becoming the first major signing of new Dragons coach Anthony Griffin.

Naden can be a bit suspect in defence, that’s the reason Cleary chose May over him in the last 2 games.
Just what we need someone with defence issues.

11 games in 3 years...About to become 12 games in 4 years...

I find solace in the fact that while our recruitment and retention has been horrendous in the past few years, that the dragons are far and away the worst club in the NRL when it comes to roster management.

Ended up costing them big time. May was dreadful in the GF

Why do you think he’s mr attitude can’t say I’ve seen it. Agree he’s a shocking defender, decent player but nothing special.

If you can't see the attitude mate, I can't explain it to you. Plus all the niggle, plus all the coming in if there is a scuffle, pushing and shoving.

Doesn't matter if you think he has one or not anyway - should not be signed on his poor defence.

But who is going to take over from Benji

He’s regarded as one of the best captains in the league if not the best, it’s a no brainer to have him co captain at least.

No way it would. I'm sure the players would be very happy with Tamou captain.

I don't think anyone would argue with him.

I recall when a reporter asked Paul Harragon why his team mates call him the chief? His reply 'because that's what I want them to call me'.

How can anyone in the media be calling Tigers basket-case when St George and Bulldogs exist!?
