Thing I like about this year's squad is that all the bloke's who've left played like they were happy to play first grade. There was no hunger to improve. Eisenhuth was a prime example. Blessed with size and talent but seemed happy to achieve mediocrity.
I can't see any of that in this year's squad

Only one question - is this Stefano kid any good?

All hype but will he make first grade early next year?

To answer your question .. from what I saw of this kid .. unstoppable in the under 20's due his size over the other kids .. BUT in the NRL, even though he appears to have a big frame, he didn't make the defensive line buckle, he appeared hit the line and NOT fight .. and got pushed back most times .. to me I'd say this kid is like one very large marshmallow .. I really hope that i saw kid play on his bad days, and he proves me wrong .. please, please let me be wrong.

You saw nothing.

The kid played what a total of 10 mins in 3 games. All at the end of matches where he plays the last couple of mins in a game that was over.
He made some decent carries. A full off season and he could well be our starting prop/lock next season Remember he was only a teenager this year .

Those saying Stefano is a dud are the same people that said we were wasting our time trading Momo for Grant.

Payne Haas also looked a dud in his first season, where the most minutes he played in a single game was 18. The very next season he cemented himself as one of the best players in the game.

We should take a leaf out of the dogs book to land signings. The way they landed Luke Thompson they flew over there to get the contract signed.

Let us not take a leaf out of anything Bulldogs do at the moment.

They are landing players because their roster is almost completely without talent and they have tonnes of salary cap to throw around.

They seem to be more professional than us. Getting contracts signed, don't have players AND sometimes coaches walking almost on a yearly basis.

Like I said about Stefano .. I'm hoping he proves me wrong .. I really really hope I'm wrong, as he has the size to be very destructive in this game .. let's hope Madge has the ability to get the best out of this kid for the future of the might WestsTigers .. !! 🙂

True, but I would have liked to keep Aloiai and McIntyre. I thought they were both keepers.

Reynolds and Packer are the two players I’m excited to get rid of at the end of 2021. Will free up some good space. Their value to the team is zero.

The player himself has been a bit of a flop so far but half the NRL was trying to sign him but they got it done.

I wish we could do that with anyone decent.

As the rosters currently stand they'll finish above us. If they get Burton and Leniu as reported, they'll finish well ahead of us.

You think the bulldogs roster is better than ours? They won 3 games last year and have not improved all that much. Clearly we haven’t improved much either that’s a different point but on paper we are better than them for sure.

We won 2 of our last 10, conceding on average over 30 points per game. Our best player (Grant) is gone, McIntyre is gone, Eisenhuth is gone (and whilst a plodder was defensively very good and made consistent metres) and Taylor is gone. We've gotten Tamou (good signing) and Stefano (who didn't look ready for first grade).

They have bought Flanagan, Hetherington and Cotric. Last time we played we won 29-28 and were lucky to win.

Yes, I think as it currently stands they'll finish above us. The way the rosters are as of today we'll be fortunate not to come last.

This argument doesn't fill me with any confidence. Yep Benji leaked a lot of points. He also created a lot of points. AD looked good at 6 but his defense looked suspect. That also means AD isn't playing in the centres or at fullback where I think he is also our best option.
