Nicolussi pretty on the money usually with Tigers stuff.

I'm 3 from 3 in the rumour mill and I'll be 4 from 4 after Laurie starts training with us after next week. It's a done deal, the sticking point Cini but now resolved. Pemriff wanted a trade deal for Simpkins and were prepared to pay plenty so that's probably a good sign too.

I hope our club is working on an upgraded and extended contract. Having another club chase him even though he hasn't made his debut suggests we have a great talent on our hands. Great talents also attract other great talents.

And with Packers contract up this year and possibly Mbye moving on we will have plenty of cash to fight of rival offers

Also has been reported in the past that he is a fan of Madge which helps

Daine Laurie more than likely to be released from panthers immediately to join Tigers for 2021 season and wear the 1 jersey.

That would be awesome. I must admit I was assuming his early arrival would be no chance but now there is hope. Nicolussi is usually quite accurate when it comes to Tigers.

Does anyone know anything about Laurie?
He has had very limited FG exposure, is he worth the hype?
The club think so, so I will trust there opinion. But.......

Apparently his sprint times compared to Charlie Staines at training last off season, and Staines is a known speedster.

Apart from that, he’s only had the 1 FG off the bench where he didn’t really look out of place.

I asked my mate who’s a die hard Panthers supporter, and he said he’ll definitely be an above average fullback / 5/8 in NRL but it’s too early to say if he’ll be an out and out super star

Yeah I mentioned that in another post, takes a while to build combinations and have the confidence to be vocal with your team mates and direct them around at the back

I think that is because he is playing out of position in the centres, I thought our attack looked better last year when we had Mbye at fullback and Doueihi in the centres.

My son's sprint coach has worked with a lot of NRL players/clubs over the years (most recently Manly and before that Bulldogs as he gets on well with Hasler) - he said when he worked at the Bulldogs Mbye was deceptively quick and moved across the ground very well.
