Replace "Flipper Hands" AJ, with "Flipper Hands" Oates.

People probably wouldn't know we made a change - maybe that's the thinking.

Oates has played over 150 first grade games and for QLD many times ... I think people would notice the difference.

I would take Folau in a heartbeat. Make it happen tigers.

Wouldn't go near that filth and he's spent so long out of rugby league there's no way he'd be that good transitioning back.

The club sees him a loose cannon and could be potentially brand damaging. Add to that the guy is 32 years old and hasn't played first grade Rugby League in Australia for a decade. Aren't we usually against these types of signings?

Anyone that thinks Corey Oates will have better hands than Kepaoa needs to watch a few Broncos replays...

I'm keen on Folau...would make a big difference to our side on the wing or in the centres.

Agree with you on Oates - needs to take a bag on the field with him.

Oates is a good replacement for kepoa hopefully we dont see flipper hands kepoa again

What about CHN from Raiders? Not getting game time. Explosive edge backrower. Had his problems off the field and not very bright - but could add another dimension for us, especially in attack.

How anyone could possibly want Folau is beyond me.

Why? We are short on backs and the guy is as good an athlete as you will find.

Hasn’t played NRL in 10 years and would be a PR disaster. Would be a shocking decision.

If our main sponsor has left the door open then maybe it’s a possibility. Played super league last year .

I can’t see us being that stupid tbh

And PV has said no way he's coming back despite the Christian campaign.

He actually said that no club has made an application so he doesn’t understand why they are lobbying.

Neither very well by the looks of it if that's the case. 🙂 Still, looking at VLandy's saying "They're wasting their breath" there's no way they would let him back and he would be a huge publicity liability for any club.

likewise we have mmbye for another year or so if they dont get game time they might explore other options
let's hope we buy a suitable replacement

Reynolds is 30, and despite what some people are sprouting he is not injury prone, check how many games he has missed through injury, it is not many at all.
And if people thinks he is not an upgrade, well I have been watching different games to them, he offers a lot of what we don’t have but desperately need.
Souths cap for 2023 is just about tapped out, that is the sticking point on the second year, no conspiracy theory

To get Oates the only option I see is via a trade.

If it’s a free market buy we would have to pay overs to get him here. Moving to sydney isn’t cheap & we aren’t exactly a top 6 threat.

Would prefer we go after Fergo than Oates especially if it comes down to similar $$$.

Reynolds is a top quality halfback with an excellent kicking game (long, short and goal). He'd be a huge upgrade on Brooks. A potential 2022 spine of Laurie, Doueihi, Reynolds and Simpkin is exciting.

And yeah he’s missed stuff all footy through injury but the concern and why I think Souffs offered him 2 years with a club option is his back. All it takes is one more bad collision and he could be forced into early retirement
