We should go after some hard working, solid players. Jeez Corey Thompson and Paul Momorovski would be nice to have right now. So glad we got rid of two hard working, high effort players for what we have now

In fairness we did swap Momo for Laurie who is one of few hard working and talented players we have. Should never had let Thompson go though, he was good in just about every game he played for us.

But the JTJ / BJ gamble hasn’t worked and now we find ourselves needing 2 centre’s. I still have faith JTJ can come good as for sticking around next year who knows

Would it have really hurt our chances looking back now to wait until 2022 before we got our hands on Laurie? That way we could have both.

Naden linked with Bulldogs

Brent Naden’s future at Penrith is looking more and more clouded with constant speculation about his future. The latest rumour doing the rounds is that Naden could link up with former Penrith assistant coach Trent Barrett at Canterbury.

Naden is off-contract at the end of the year and appears to have fallen out of favour at the Panthers, particularly following the cocaine scandal that rocked the Grand Final aftermath. The Wests Tigers have also been mentioned as a possible destination for Naden.

WHY STAR FORWARD KNOCKED BACK TIGERS

Rabbitohs forward Jai Arrow has revealed he considered a move to the Wests Tigers before ultimately signing with South Sydney.

The 25-year-old joined the Bunnies this season on a four-year deal but told NRL.comthat while he was with the Titans he “spoke to a few clubs” and the Tigers were one of them.

Tigers coach Michael Maguire flew up to the Gold Coast to meet with the Queensland Origin forward but Arrow says it was the Rabbitohs’ star power as well as a chance to reunite with coach Wayne Bennett and assistant Jason Demetriou that lured him to the club.

“No disrespect to the Tigers, but the proud history of Souths and obviously Wayne Bennett and the coaching staff here is second-to-none. Being back with Wayne and Jason Demetriou helped,” he said of the coaching duo he spent time with at the Broncos earlier in his career.

“The squad and the class of the players here was an attraction.”

I'm sure his weekend with Papa Russ at Nanna Glen had nothing to do with it, nor the probability that he came home from said weekend with a suitcase full of cash.

I think Laurie, Doueihi and Stefano are good. That's about it..

I rate those three. I think they'll all end up having successful careers. Talented and good attitudes.
