In 2021 Wests Tigers are the youngest in the NRL, in 2019 we were the oldest.

Wow! really I think that says it all. Our brightest prospects are definitely our youngest, and it is why I am optimistic even if we don't land many big signings. They may not have been marquee signings, but I honestly believe Daine Laurie, Stefano Uto etc will be marquee players.

Hopefully, in a few years, the top marquee guys will be banging on our door to let them play here?

Why is Madge leaving, that would be our only hope, he reckons he had players ringing all the time wanting to play for him, give me a break, I am not that stupid

He said it on a coaching insider one week. It definitely was said.

851 myself and others understand your frustration atm and your hate for Madge,however I can only think that your untold hate for him has blinded what he is trying to achieve with some very,very talented young players..they have to learn some where and sometime and this year and next is that time...Im sorry we havent won every game contested or paid huge overs that Ivan did to achieve absolutely nothing and dump us..Maybe the club has learnt and with Madge looking after the juniors untill Sheens gets here we will finally end this decade of rabble and finally become the great club we should be...at least give credit where its due...its always easy to blame the coach everytime things go wrong..
I was even reading today how Fittler said he loves the Campbelltown area and the Tigers would be a GREAT TEAM to coach...at least he is an origin coach and has some respect for our club,moreso than some of the so called supporters...

Fittler was brought up in Ashcroft near Liverpool / Campbelltown area. He constantly harps on about how Tigers should be based out there.

I can’t see Hartigan paying big dollars for Thompson, plus we don’t want to have another Mbye on our hands in a couple of years.

We wont be paying big dollars for the first 2 years as they will be subsidised by the dogs. From all reports it will cost us $500 each year for 2yrs , then whatever they decide after that.

That’s the bit that concerns me. If that’s the case it will probably average out to $650 a season for 3 years….

Just to clear some thing up.
The rough quote was.
I talk to players all the time. I have players from other clubs ringing me up saying they like what I am doing with the Wests Tigers.
He may of said I’m always in discussions and currently am at the moment.

If I remember correctly within the month of that conversation we sign Ken Mamalo out of the blue….

Think some massive chill pills are needed.
Having a crack and HSS and Butcher from there INCUMBENT clubs and not pinching them is hardly something to throw all the toys out of the cot. Even more so if we are trying not to overpay.

Say they are offered 400k by their incumbent clubs, they end up after agent fees and tax with around roughly 200k in there pocket. Say we offer 450k, net 25k offer 500k net 50k. Offer 600k net 100k

Now we've probably spent 150k too much to get a midrange player


I get the Latrell or JAC ones where they are clearly leaving their existing club and its a free for all.

The Butcher brothers/family are rusted on Roosters. Egan was never going to leave unless he wasnt wanted.
