Signings, Suggestions & Rumours Discussion

Bennett or Sheens and someone like Morris or Hannay as the assistant with the plan for them to take over after 2 years sounds good to me.

Get Uncle Wayne on deck with Farah his side kick. Two people with passion who are ultra competitive. After the two years, Farah walks into the head coach role. Call me crazy but Farah is a natural coach in the makings

Players aren’t going to come within miles of us till the coaching position is clarified. And even then we’ll struggle. Unless we appoint Bennett.

Doubt he'd be interested but might be worth a phone call if Madge is punted. Maybe a 2 year deal to get the roster sorted and maybe jag a finals spot. He was interested before we signed Madge.

Give him an assistant with a view to take over. Then the new Qld team can come in and he can be on his way to them.

Ciraldo is that man

I’d go with Bennett for 2 years with Ciraldo as the top assistant to take over. It will cost us big $$$$ but we are set for the next 5 years at least in terms of coaching

It’s perfect. Sheens to stay on for parthways and mentor Ciraldo when Bennett is gone. Look it all comes down to $$$$ and we need to give these guys whatever they ask for to defect

Both will attract talent. Bennett will bring Burns and be attractive to anyone off contract in 2023, and Ciraldo can help get a few panthers over.

Exactly mate. And money talks. You would think it would be appealing to Ciraldo to learn from the master Bennett

Buy
Dylan Walker play him at centre
Tyrone Peachey
play him at lock or utility
Buy Aaron Woods at the right price still goes well and better than Mikaele and Tamou

Bargain bin.

Isn't Bennett going to be coaching the new franchise in 2023?
Could get him for a year but hardly seems worth it.

Ciraldo is promising based on other outside noise but hard to see him coming here.
Really need to be making a call on Madge in the next day or two and getting the good media pieces out there.
- Promising Young talent
- COE
- Big $$ in salary cap

Better yet, make it a Bennett / Benji duo. We know how much those two love each other. Then when Bennett leaves it can change to Benji / Robbie and those two can complain to the GM about the coach and get themselves sacked.

You'd have to wait until a decision is made about a QLD team for 2023 before targeting Bennett, as he's already made it clear he's going back to QLD.

The sad reality is there are not many coaches around that are available. That's why the Dragons ended up with Griffin and the Warriors with Brown.

Bring him out of retirement $$$$$$$

As much as we all hate Ivan we have to put a lot of that blame and accountability on Pascoe for blindly allowing his imbecile mate to make whatever dud signings he wanted.

I don’t remember anyone complaining at the time. Ivan was a God to the supporter base and could not get arrested in Tiger town. Suddenly, everyone is a revisionist when it comes to his time here.

I would prefer that we keep Farah at arms length in respect to a coaching appointment. Just let him continue to run the water bottle. Can't get into too much trouble doing that.

I was very optimistic when he came, but the results speak for themselves - in chasing short term success he completely screwed us long term. And he didn't even get the short term success!

I think he's too old to care about money at this stage.
