So we’re going to strengthen another clubs halves and, all the while leaving us with the worst halves in the comp. great going.

We've already got the Worst halves in the comp with Brooks here. Except we're paying him Marquee player money

You didn't see the Cows halves this year? I wouldn't swap our halves for Brisbane, Warriors, Gold Coast, Cowboys or the Sharks last year... And that's just at a glance - I could make an argument for Dragons also...

That leaves us Mid Comp - With a Mid level Halves pairing.
Nothing you can suggest makes us a better team proven.

Lol wow. Cant believe some of the rubbish written on here. Just gets worse and worse! And now that there is no negative feedback the rubbish has increased. Don’t worry about the worst halves. If you think that then honestly you have no idea what idea. Give yourself an upper cut. But again what is not spoken of, like it’s almost forbidden, but the real problem is that we have consistently had a bottom 4 pack and this has been the case for 10yrs plus pack in the competition, and in 2021 and 2022 and moving forward we definitely have the worst centres. Yet though this is the truth and every other NRL team knows it. We here either can’t see it or worse choose to ignore it and then find blame in other things. Knowing that this is too hard to fix!!!

Worst Pack, Worst Back Row, Worst Outside Backs and a Halfback that can't magically make them better.... Go figure.

If I was him, I would publicly come out and bag the club for letting him take responsibility for the fact they're consistently surrounding him with nobodies - Or blokes we just never see in first grade!! Josh Reynolds, Packer, Elijah, McQueen...

We aren't equal favourites with the Dragons for the spoon for a reason ......bookies won't give you 30-1 odds if you are a 66-1 shot or vice versa ......

Our problem is, Brooks isn't an organising half, he's a running half but we've expected him to be both. If Hastings is an organiser then Brooks plays his natural game and all of a sudden he's the new Cody Walker. The bloke can run, fast, is a good defender and can link with his supports. He's a very good footballer. He's just been playing out of position and at 5/8, I'll back him to be our player of the year again next year.

When a player departs under these circumstances (or worse)we usually get a $10 note thrown our way so we can say we settled for "an undisclosed sum" and avoid media scrutiny over why they actually wish to leave
As for Klemmer..his numbers surprised me.He just doesnt seem to have the impact that he once had,plus hes totally one dimensional with few offloads
Big body,which we need,but somehow just doesnt excite me

I see absolutely NO upside to that....

Hutchison is the pick of the back up halves over there - And (surprise, surprise) He's not the one the Roosters are trying to unload.

Hutchison sucks.

Maybe - But I feel he's a much better option than Lam
(So does his coach it would seem)

Sure. I see Lam as having greater upside because he's younger and more athletic. Hutchison is more versatile though. Who knows what he's like off-field, what he's earning compared to Hutchison.

If we'd have got him last year, Instead of Tamou I'd be all for it....
I have a feeling Klem left sydney at the time for family reasons (Get away from his old man maybe?)

Lam would be better for us than Hutchinson, has more ability to break a game open himself. Hutchinson can do his job at roosters well but he's slow and has very little X factor. If we had good systems like them I'd take him but for us Lam is the way to go I'd think as a backup half

There is no chance Newcastle allow Best to leave, nor would Best agree to it. Don't know why you would suggest the trade given it is not a possibility.

The Tigers won’t release Brooks it won’t be happening. I’d be causing trouble and demanding Ponga also.
