When did they sign ??

maybe a Tuesday..slow day 😕 😕 😱pen_mouth:

Gee wow hey :wahoo:

Oh Hang on , that Farah :imp:

If anyone watched the Residents game (ISP State of Origin) we had Garner, Felise and Bailey Sironen playing for NSW. Although Bailey didn't get much time (or any according to Blocker's commentary), I thought Garner in particular was strong and certainly looks a quality proposition. I know there was talk from some who thought he might be elevated to an NRL contract - that to me looks a good option for next season. As for JJF he looked pretty decent but wasn't the pick of the forwards honestly.
Garner ran hard and defended strongly, played long minutes and scored a good try runnning a nice line. I think he'd step up and maybe a shot at NRL will bring out more enthusiasm and hunger in him. If we don't sign him someone else will certainly pinch him from us.

What's wrong with clearing Curtis Sironen from our books and replacing him with Garner onto the top 30 before June 30? Garner could be signed for the rest of this season on a relatively small retainer which would increase next season depending on his performance in first grade this season?

I wish that somebody who really knows could clarify whether the team has any spots available before June 30

Do you not believe CEO Justin Pascoe…?

All JP has said is that we've fullfilled our requirements, not that we won't sign anyone else.

If someone has a direct quote from Pascoe saying "WT will not be signing any more players to play in 2018" then by all means share. The note from the email does not exclude the possibility of signing players and appears to moreso be Dan paraphrasing.

We may in all likelihood not be able to find anyone else to sign, but if we do, it's possible to do so without releasing anyone.

No more signings for 2018..

So you're confirming that Pascoe hasn't confirmed that?

No, he just doesnt like that you are 100% correct here.

There is still the possibility we can sign another player.

The only thing Pascoe has said is that if we dont sign anyone else we have technically filled our squad requirement.

If that makes you guys happy..

I'd swap Godinet for Taupau tho…

I saw it live.
Was it televised?

Garner was decent. Dean Britt, Liam Martin and the Sharks Prop, last name Dillon were solid all night as well. The young hooker was sharp as well, Braileys younger brother. Felise played pretty big minutes and ran well, but standouts for me were the left side players Britt and Dillion.

I've been one of the blokes pushing garners barrow this year.
I know hodgo rates him.
I just hope he's on a promise for next year and we don't lose him

Taupau and Kelly for our 'X factor', what a bargain  but on the negative side - Manly will never loose another game with our 'X factor' :brick:

Well we got 5hrs and 13 minutes for the mystery game changer to play this weekend

I know many on here don't rate him but I feel Woods in our pack again would have improved us a fair bit. I can only hope that our recruitment team already has another seasoned, effective, representative forward signed for 2019.
