anyone heard a rumour about a big name forward tigers have supposedly signed?no not Oliver Clarke and yes game changer…

Who is this big name forward?

No one Swaggy, it's no one.

Yep we’ll have at least 6 no-one’s on our books by the start of next season.
All dead set nothing players because we are a brainless club with brainless people running it.
And we will be dead set last for next 10 years …. at least.
Happy .... ?...

Well thanks for the sarcastic response to a very benign comment by me that the 'rumour' about a big name signing is untrue. These rumours are rarely true. I don't know what you found so offensive in that to respond in such a childish manner, but obviously I have upset you in some way and for that I am sorry.

another 'ex-and-sadly-reincarnated' prima donna' fan ?

Who are you referring to?

Mystery prop

I would sign him for a year + 1 in Clubs favour…class player..

but yeah lets run with numpty's

Yep - agree.

I reckon you need to have long term plans in place. Everyone seems to be after the “Ponga” type signing. A young player signed for the long term that’s going to be the next superstar. Fact of the matter is that they rarely come about. You need to have the cap space, right position and contracts available. Even then it is a huge risk as these players often don’t fulfill their anticipated potential.

Better off having serviceable, proven units like the Morris brothers on shorter term contracts with options in our favour and wait/target the right opportunity to sign the next star.

No use in signing “numpties” because you have cap space.

Mystery prop?? Nah I was asking about who the 'prima donna' fan comment was aimed at and I think it was me, but I have no idea why or what it means. Unless I've misinterpreted the comment?

Food break so just caught your post …... OK my mistake. Sorry if my comment sounds offensive. Nothing personal.
I just don’t understand what some fans expect on this topic.
Someone posts a big signing rumour so no need rain on the party. May happen we have 6 vacancies and money in the bank.
Now let me get back to my game of poker.

All good, I'm just used to these rumours being baseless. Anyway no worries- good luck ?

Lol of course! If you don't stay at Brisbane where else would you go? A forgone conclusion that's becoming laughable really. Maybe the Roosters and Broncos can just play each other for 3 games each season, a la State of Origin format, and that can be the NRL comp for the year.

I really can't be bothered with the game anymore with this kind of underhanded crap and blatant favouritism going on all the time!

I’m feeling the same Spud. Really over it at the moment. Maybe all the loyal, true, rusted on supporters from the non favoured clubs should all walk away at the same time - cancel memberships, cancel Foxtel, stop buying merchandise and tell Melbourne, Brisbane and roosters to split up the $50 000 annual revenue.

The way the favored teams are treated as an open joke, yet nothing changes, tells me that the NRL either has a big shake up coming or it's going to die a slow death. The playing field can't continue with this tilt but teams that are getting away with it now aren't going to change voluntarily. I simply don't see the point of following a team that will never be competitive on the field because it can't compete in the brown paper bag department.

Yep - can’t compete financially but also can’t compete against the refereeing that constantly and continually gives the 50/50 calls to the power clubs. Week after week after week

I'd be interested to see a statistical and subjective analysis of refereeing over a number of seasons. How many petty 50/50 calls made at critical points of games, shifted momentum one way or another. I am no doubt biased, but Broncos are the number one ref favourites.

I agree, the bronco's have 4 and possibly 6 competition points this season from ref blunders/favouritism.

Knights have put Connor Watson on the market

Don't really think he is what we are looking for though

Source?
Read Brock lambs manager saying he can't see him staying.

The Lurker is the one saying the Knights are open to offers for Watson. Not sure who they'd play at 5/8 if they offload both Lamb and Watson with Cogger already gone though. They might want to target someone more suited to 5/8 than Watson like Jarome Luai, Tyrone May or AJ Brimson.
