This Jordan Miller better be good man the way some people are going on about him otherwise Tito will be throwing out some flying elbows left right and centre. They will then be covered in rice and beans for their troubles - home brand too. Not this Egels stuff.

A backup for FB, AD and Laurie don't cut the mustard. A 5/8, AD and Hastings the same. A backup for 9 . He may be a bit slower now, but he was a class above our present lot, and for little money a wise buy. Our aim is for 2024 onwards, not 2023, Don't be surprised if he ends up at 5/8 over the others.

Not 30 year old reserve graders.

Most of the good juniors are 15 to 17 age need time to develop.

Remembering the under 21 age bracket have been heavily covid impacted.

I wouldn't knock what the club are doing in junior pathway space.

If you are going to offer/sign players to $800k-$900k a year contract's you need to have plodders on minimum wage to average out the salary cap. Most of these players rarely play first grade. I'm no fan of Woods but if you can get an ex-Australian rep to fill a minimum wage role and that helps you offer someone else $800k - go for it.

we already have those roles filled in our top 30 though, thats the issue.

Saukuru, Tumeth, Fainu and Reilly will all be on the minimum wage. How many 'passengers' like that can you include in your top 30 though? Woods would be on more like 200k, and be a role player if he joins.

I believe it was Jerry Maguire who said that does not inspire people.

He isn't in our top 30, he has a train and trial deal.

It's actually nothing of note but they probably mentioned it because he is a NRL experienced player. Could be good for the young brigade coming in and helping out the NSW Cup strength.

- Will Smith was a mainstay utility in a top 4 team in 2021...
I can promise you they'd have liked him this year.

He's got 100 NRL games under his belt - The Majority in a top 4 side...
He's costing 50k for the year and will be a handy backup.

He's played 100 more games than the rest of the NRL train and Trialers combined.
This is a decent signing.... You want a reserves team full of kids to get lapped every week again this year?

Common sense not real common on here - There isn't any team not buying Will Smith for $1000 a week.

Smith will essentially take Nu Brown’s place from 2022 in the extended squad.

By the wording in the release, Smith is on a full season Train & Trial (WT already have 9 players on these type of deals). T&Ts are $1,000 a week which are included in the second tier cap.
