Signings, Suggestions & Rumours Discussion

As I said who do we really have that you could use as trade bait to upgrade our roster

Reynolds maybe , but we may need him

What NRL club is looking for a Robbie Rochow , Chris McQueen or even Elijah Taylor and would upgrade him for someone better …....

Same goes for the ESL .....

I reckon one of McQueen or Rochow, if not both will be told they can explore their options. ESL would suit Rochow. Doubt if McQueen would have too many suitors. He may look at the Super League too.

Apart from those two, I wonder who else could potentially get the tap on the shoulder to explore their options..

Aloia, Eisenhuth should be first cabs off the rank.

Aloia might be an interesting one this season. I think im right in saying he is part of the God squad that Ryan Matterson will join. Matterson just might drag him along and improve his game.

If they can challenge each other it may be good for Aloia

Aloiai will go a long way if they settle his position and he improves his handling. The difference between his best and worst is the size of the Tasman.

Aloiai certainly has the ability - we have all seen that at times. I hope he kicks on this next season - he will have to if he wants to keep playing nrl.
I will reserve judgement on McQueen for another season. Let's see if Madge can get him back to somewhere near his best. If he can, then he'd be handy off the bench. Rochow - give him the tap on the shoulder.

I would think Madge knows who is off contract from other clubs and who he would like to move on
One would think that even though Madge is in England he would have told the club to Tap XYZ on the shoulder and tell them to look around and also who he wants the club to chase , the club would be contacting the player managers and telling them Madge wants to talk to your guy , be it Hayne or others , we just need to sit back for around 2 more weeks and you will see some action , Pom has stated we have offered a contract to a forward , Madge would have agreed to this or pulled it , time will tell , Dragon Talking to Hayne tells me he still has something to offer I wonder weather Madge thinks he has or not again time will tell , the off season is a great time of the year don't you think

I'd sign Brooks for 4 years for 800-900k

Imo he is only worth about 700k.

He has no Origin experience. He has no finals experience. Basically he hasnt performed under pressure at the top level.

Until he does he doesnt warrant that kind of money and id be happy for the club to draw a line around that mark and let him go if he wants more.

Agree. Probably worth 750k to 800k. No more at this stage.

Nah, He is above average. Compared to Reynolds he is 100-200k greater.
Negotiate. Offer 850K settle around 900k.

We have paid Overs for Brooks and Moses for ages. But now is not the time to Loose Brooks. Roosters will have 800K to offer him straight up once Cronk retires. If I were the Roosters, I would want either Brooks or the best young gun league has to offer.

The price for Brooks starts at 800K.

Also Taylor may be a candidate?

Yep, McQueen And Rochow give us impact off the bench, Madge please give these two a gentle tap and a litle whisper in their ears .. "_sorry guys you didnt get a rose .. please take this time to say your good byes_".. and Taylor is starting to be passenger out there .. yes he probably makes the most tackles per game (??) .. but he just looks pedestian like out there .. ??

As for Aloiai and Esienhuth they really .. really need to setp up this seaon .. !! Aloiai has disappointed me, they guy is built like Jason Taumalolo .. if only he has the same impact as Taumalolo .. !! Madge likes his forwards to hit the line with speed and be able to bend the defencive line back .. so Huthy better be ready for little more hard work on his running speed in carrying the ball up this season.

I see the warriors have signed our once great centre signing, Tanee Milne. Cronulla are interested in signing Johnston from South .. Holmes, Duggan for fullback and now they want Johnston .. why .. ??. ST George, now that their Director of rugby league Ian Millward and head coach Paul McGregor have returned from holidays, they have re-opened talks with Jarryd Hayne again.

They have fullbacks in Dugan, Holmes, Moylan and are after Johnston.

Holmes off to the cowboys, Dugan shown the door and Moylan is now a no6

The bigger problem is more often than not we see the worst of him

The other problem is the top end clubs will have no issues finding a big TPA for Brooks

The Thoroughbreds would cough up big time seeing the other option is Nikorima

We need to act fast and a four year deal should be the option

Brooks is worth 700-750k. No more. He hasn't earnt more. Reynolds is worth 500k.

Tigers have been doing really well lately with costs but why they paid 750k for Reynolds when no one else wanted him is beyond me. Offer him 500k and I bet he would of taken it.

Your right… just another poor recruitment decision by our traitor coach....now we are paying it

"I'm aware that there is some space there [in the salary cap]," said Maguire.

"When I come back I can work through that but we're in a pretty good position to move forward.
