Amazing to think I remember 95 world cup joey was 9 and toovey 7 and captain, joey played great at 9 and even better at 7. Before him I thought Sterling was the best I had seen.

I would argue Beetson was better because he completely revolutionised forward play but Joey is certainly number 2

IMHO best player I have seen in my time (since early 70's) easily

I would argue Beetson was better because he completely revolutionised forward play but Joey is certainly number 2

I saw too many games where Joey single handedly won against all adversity (behind a pack on skates, scoring tries, setting them up, conversions, fg etc) to say anyone else was a more complete footballer or better.

Not sure, this was when the Foran back to manly rumours started, Walker is on big dollars and would relieve some cap pressure at Manly, who could replace him with Foran and save money
