I reckon Momo is a big chance of getting some first grade time here based on injuries or players doing something stupid. He'd be way down the pecking order for our outside backs though.

Don’t see us letting him go with nothing in return. End of the day the two centres in front of him are a rep player and a multiple dally m centre of the year, if he doesn’t want to fight for a spot then he can go.

They won’t let him go without getting something in return. With the inconsistencies of Joey and Leilua recently, he’d probably get game time if he stayed. Obviously not willing to fight for his spot

Unfortunately there’s not really any players I’d want from bulldogs right now besides ones they most likely won’t let go of.

I think alot of us either have stars in our eyes and believe we can make the 8 this year (like myself) or think '21's a right-off and we should build for next year. No matter how each of us justifies it, we'll never know until the back end of the season. But again, I'd just love to see our potential future guns get the opportunity this year to give it all they've got and repay the faith the club has placed in them.

It matters because we need to break the stigma that we don’t make finals every year. We need to stop the record of 9 years without finals because potential signings take notice of that

I understand that but they should be at least saying top4 in the interviews and elsewhere. Scraping into the 8 is just making up the numbers.

Parramatta has been in the finals but hasnt won for 34 years. Rather win a premiership from the top 4 then appease the media by scraping into the 8.

Scraping into the 8 would be great.

Exactly, so realistically we have no one who has ever played fullback in the NRL as a backup. And the same for the halves.

Honestly, I would take Brendan Elliot as a backup fullback. He’d be cheap, has some experience and isn’t bad. I thought he played okay for manly when he filled in (obviously nothing spectacular)

Didn’t he do his ACL against the Knights in Round 14 last year?

If everyone fires and we don’t have injuries in the halves or fullback, we’re a chance to make the 8. A couple of huge IFs though.

True Avo, we're in Iffy waters atm. But I really think our off-season recruitment has been good under the circumstances (Covid, lack of off-contracted players, our hamstrung salary cap), our new additions from last year will be more familiar and settled and by some welcome reports, the boys are looking fit and hopefully ready to fire in a stronger looking line-up to last year, on paper at least.
I can't help but get excited about the season to come and I'm backing the Mighty Black, White & Gold to get the right Iffs and the W's!

He's scored 14 tries in 19 games and played in finals for Easts and the Storm. I'll put money on it if you like and despite all the expert opinions in this forum, Madge rates him and that's all that counts. Do you want to put money on it?

Lol why u getting so offended? Im passing on what was told to me from a high up bulldogs official who has been 100% spot on before. Madge rates Momers but not as much as Leilua and Roberts
