Agreed, I actually take Madges comment to *almost* mean, he will be here this year.

One of our problems over the years has been depth good depth,all the successful clubs seem to have this. This will help in this area just another piece of the puzzle that I think the club is addressing

I would say in 2022 Mybe and Walters are gone, Madge may see him as a back up this year (and a warning shot to Brooks) with the intention of having a Brooks/Hastings combination in 22 with AD and Talau as our centres (assuming Roberts and BJ don't get resigned).

I really hope both Brooks and AD kill it in the halves this year as I like the idea of a player like Hastings as a experienced back up only. Would mean we probably lose a player like Madden as it means he would now be 3rd in the pecking order. Im OK with this as at least Hastings is less of a gamble.

Yeah that’s true, however I felt it was the only part of the interview where he was a little lost for words. Definitely something happening behind the scenes.

Watching nearly every game. I do not hate anyone,hate is for idiots. I simply voice my opinion on what i observe,the same as yourself.I have always said he had ability but not commitment. If we beg to differ, fine, we all share different opinions.

Signing Hastings now would signal to Brooks+Doueihi that Madge doesn't think one of them is good enough for us. After spending the entire off season working on the team i really don't see how signing someone like this would do anything but disrupt team harmony and shatter player confidence

That is my worry and for how much upside? We dont really now how much improvement AD had at 6, whilst we do know Brooks best probably. Im not sure Brooks best is less than Hastings best?

Yep . I’m just saying he never looked like a guy who was disengaged . He seemed lost in confidence for me . Like a prize fighter who gets knocked out for the first time .

If Mbye is fullback then the team still needs a utility on the bench,Liddle won’t play 80 minutes you wouldn’t think and Simpkin will start in NSW cup,Hastings at 14 is my guess....to play 9 when Liddle gets a rest,and can backup Douehi and Brooks
