Judging off the team lists, Alexander will play Centre in Jersey Flegg and Altus will come off the bench in NSW Cup.

Im guessing Hastings wld luv to sign on with a NRL Club...probably feels hes earnt his stripes in UK....and sees the $$ offered to established but ordinary 7s(Hunt,Taylor,Moses,Brooks,Croft)and figures hes worth similiar $$$.
The other complication is a transfer fee,which he needs to pay....it just makes him more expensive
Unfortunately hes still unproven in NRL,and to get anywhere near what hes looking for he needs to go to a club that doesnt already have a quality no7....or at least paying for one(like WTs).All clubs have their 7s locked in for 2021,so hes left this season too late or take back up $$ for this year and prove himself

Tigers should be going absolutely all out for Reynolds.
He is an organiser, excellent kicker and one of the leagues best goal kickers. What an influence he could be.
He is one of the very few class halfbacks out there.

He wont leave Souths, nor should he. Just agitating for more than a 1 year deal.

If AR was 28 or so I would agree but at 31 and commanding top dollar I think it would be prudent to pass.

I understand your logic however there aren't many organising halves in the comp and we don't have one, unless AD proves to be, but in the one game I have seen him in that position he seems to me like a dangerous/try assisting half that would slot in nicely alongside someone like Adam Reynolds. I'd take him at age, even with all the issues we have had signing old players before.

Mate , I have to say , on what planet is brooks not an organising half ? More directly , do you actually know what that means? It’s not a billion try assists , and miracle plays . It’s marching the team down the field , controlling tempo , and getting through your sets .
That is literally what he was doing last year . To the point of giving Early ball to out of position mbye , and Luci , to get a head of steam up . It lead to really bad stats , a lack of confidence , a somehow none existent short kicking game , and generally no creativity. What you and the writer of that article in the other thread are actually asking for , is a creative half .
Of which I think most agree with you. But there is a distinction, and people need to understand it

Madge isn’t afraid to drop anyone. But this is Brooks’ last chance. Surely if he is terrible this year he is gone. Shop him to the UK noting he was the Dally M half of the year in 2018. To this day, I still don’t know how he got that award.
I would like to think we are talking to Adam Reynolds. That’s our key.

No more over 30’s guys looking to pad out their super for mine, Reynolds has a Comp, pass.

I heard on radio somewhere this week that Hastings and the Tigers see a good future together, yet Wigan have not entertained a release for him.

The Tigers have now backed off until something changes from their end.

I think until UK can settle the covid19 scene down there wont be many players willing to trade places....

That is correct, the club has ceased negotiations, but are willing to revisit if he is granted a release.

Souths backline is a bit overrated Mitchell still hasn't find his feet Johnston been around a while now Gagai is 30 doesn't always perform at nrl level and Graham just seems to finish off trys nothing else really and Mansour last couple of years left than Walker and Reynolds both 30+

I was thinking the same thing. A fb still dealing with positional play. Ageing backline with the key 7 asking for retirement contract. A master coach with a reputation for leaving a club in tatters. The one thing they do have is that none of them want to be somewhere else. But I certainly wouldn’t lay down any hard earned on them making the GF.?
