The writing is on the wall for Brooks. He’s had 7 odd years to get us to finals. He needs a change, he just can’t be a dominant playmaker.

Hastings is an upgrade at a cheaper price. Can also play lock or hooker.

I don’t see the down side.

**Idk about anyone else but recently it looks like doueihi has taken alot of the responsibility and pressure off of brooks to great effect.** Brooks looks like he's navigating for the team but doueihi is the one at the wheel, as well as doueihi taking alot of the general kicking duties so brooks can pick his moments. People can knock the bloke all they want, this is just one mans opinion after all, but Brooks has recorded 7 try assists in 6 rounds, a fairly good strike rate.

I've noticed this too, also feels like all the boys are rallying behind Luke. Thought it was especially noticeable in the Knights game.
People are obviously entitled to their opinion of him but the thing I feel most uncomfortable about is reading suggestions he's at fault for where we are on the ladder.
The team's current task at hand is developing and sustaining high performances, and it requires having our most potent/effective team on the paddock. I believe he has a role to play in helping us reach our peak and that its only been a matter of finding the right winning formula - or blueprint, for today's game.

Adam Doueihi is probably our most influential player and him not only stepping up to the plate but voicing it's a shared responsibility (directing the team) is a true testament to his leadership qualities.

Townsend aint a big fish, Hastings is a good buy and as good as Reynolds is theres virtually no viable way to bring him over.

No announcement yet but a lot of strong rumours and news outlets reporting Townsend to NQ. He's made an educated guess on reynolds to sharks given how turbulent things are gonna get there contract wise.

Townsend aint a big fish, Hastings is a good buy and as good as Reynolds is theres virtually no viable way to bring him over.

Amone will be our most effective hard running forward something we have never had.
Mikaele is starting to turn the corner, he is bending the line and running hard.
We don’t need Naden that badly especially if he is signed for next year.

MCK, Packer, Walters and a few others are surplus to our needs & should be front offering.

Don’t forgot there’s Milf and Ash Taylor off contract and Mbye available a season early. Lots of halves to be loaded up at the roulette table yet.
The Chad, although his dipped a bit in the recent year is still a pretty shrud acquisition IMO. His a premiership winner but despite that is probably on the lowest salary of all starting halves. He has more longevity than Adam Reynolds and is an outstanding character plus his already got a former combo with Holmes.

I see Amone in firsts pretty soon . Not sure who he replaces , maybe Musgrove ? I can’t see Garner getting dropped , when Blore returns ,he’s been good . So 2 middles on the bench 3 in the starting pack means Twal , Jofa , Tamou , Uto , Mika , Musgrove , and Amone . 2 have to drop out . It’s gonna be some tough decisions very soon .

All this talk about Hastings is just the latest in a LONG line of potential signings that "have changed" or "it will be different this time".

How many times are we going to go down this well worn path to disappointment?

The best indicator for future performance, is past performance.

Past performance was a man of steel season in England.... can do a whole lot worse than that. He's not a bad player he's no world beater but he's good.
