Signings, Suggestions & Rumours Discussion

Is Tyrone Peachy better than Michael Chee Kam? Both are off contract end of season and both seem to be utility value. Would Peachey be a better player to have in the utility role than Chee Kam or is it better to at least make Chee Kam an offer to stay? Neither would be in the initial 13 squad but certainly would give it a shake in the interchange when needed.

Very different salary expectations I imagine...

I think Blore should get more time as others have said and i think Tualagi should start to get some time as well. I think Tamou is done, he doesnt make yardage at all. Would prefer stefano or Jo starting prop with Seyfarth at 13. Then have a bench of Amone, Stefano/jo, Blore/Garner and Simpkin/tualagi.

I think Tamou still has something to offer, but would love to see Seyfarth starting. I think his link work at 13 has been really impressive and our attack looks its best while he is on as he is pushing Brooks wider of the ruck and that is improving Brooks' game as well.

I watched the game again and Tamou was very good. He’s quick off the line, stops them dead and he chases more than most. He also makes plenty of PCM. Joffa is good at 13 but Seyfarth offers more in attack as you said. I don’t think we lost it in the forward TBH. The two eels centres had it all over ours, once they spread it we’re in all sorts. I think the key though, just about every time we started to look like doing something with the ball we stuffed up, whereas they have someone to either chip it, put someone through a hole or read and run through. We just don’t give ourselves that opportunity. It all comes down to silly errors, simple as that. Ref didn’t help either.

Agree don’t think it was lost in the forwards I was live at game and we seemed to match them in field position down the middle

We were crushed in the forwards ......the problem is the effects of that are seen out wide because the defence is forced to compact more and more to tighten the ruck

Only reason it looked that way was because of momentum and ridiculous 6 against which tired the defence out. It was more caused by the ref than it was being outmatched. The limited sets we did get our forwards put huge dents in the Parramatta line, whereas pathetic slimers were making metres in broken play

I refuse to put Parramatta on a pedestal. They're dead-set gronks

And they beat us by 28 ...so it makes us ......

Parra smashed us up the guts ...thats the facts unfortunately

Oh I agree don't mistake that for a second..

But I don't think it was the mismatch that it looked like. I would think any team would struggle with the huge weight of possession and 24 odd penalties and 6 against.

Roosters struggled containing Parramatta with the same weight of possession. And they have one of the best forward packs in the comp.

I agree that we were on the rough end of officiating but I reckon we did so much of the damage ourselves. I get that momentum against you will ultimately lead to gassing out but we matched the poor refereeing with some poor play too

You’ve got to watch it again. I think our forwards matched them but as soon as we had an opportunity we turned it over. It was heartbreaking. We’re not that far off, despite the score line.

It’s the try that comes after we turn it over that we need to fix. We have the resilience of a snow flake.

I had to laugh at this because you’re exactly right. Every time we get a bad call it’s try time for the opposition. Can you bet on that with Sportsbet?

This is what I was talking about with the Liddle mistakes, we get scored on soon after he makes them, when minutes before we pressing the opposition line

Same goes for TT and Douehei and Laurie etc etc.

Nah I’d know about it if you could. Haha

Resilience is a character/attitude thing and we continue to sign guys who aren’t wanted at other clubs. A sure sign they’re not leaders. For this reason I think we need to target a few players who clearly have the right attitude and make them offers they can’t refuse. Those guys need to come in and show the young brigade what being a first grader is about. Our senior players are just not the right type of blokes. They all seem too nice.

That's the issue

Pangi given permission to hit open market 👀

Was told a few weeks back that he was main target for Bris visit.

Remember rumours of Jack De Belin to us in the past.... with the way dragons are playing they may want to get rid of a few players

I feel like if anyone needs a change of scenery it’s De Belin, to go somewhere and just focus on football would do him a world of good

Was only like 2 years ago he was one of the best second rowers in the game, wouldn’t kill the bank as well you wouldn’t think

Correct, it shows NRL's hypocrisy - if a person is found not guilty, they never accept "not guilty" verdict and continue to treat him as "guilty".
Another issue is the way the NRL/some fans treat Falou,
they even go so far that they want him "cancelled", so much about "everyone deserves another chance" principle!

Corey Parker just said, “permission for next year, could be as early as next week”.

This statement is true for all players, e.g. Fatrell in tonight's game Brisbane vs Souths

100% if cards fall the way the club wants he will be here sooner rather than later.
