Momorovski no star but so much better than what we’ve got in the centre’s . So frustrating

I think Tigers fans have a talent for convincing ourselves that buying OKish players is better than getting stars like Latrell, JAC, Fenucane, Grant Smith. Not having a go just an observation

Because our fans know that stars just don’t come here. So we keep getting OK-ish players. Some would argue that OK-ish players don’t want to come here either.

They used to. Lote, Ellis. Sheens years will always be the best for me. Even the bad(ish) ones.

Sheensy’s downfall was the recruitment of Adam Blair most notably at the expense of Bryce Gibbs (I wasn’t too fussed) and Andrew Fifita (I was very fussed about this).
Adam Blair came to us for a holiday and get paid bank resulting in us having to put him at prop to get some form of value out of him. The guy had never played prop for a minute of his life.

Don’t think Brandon Smith is coming, even if the tigers threw a million at him. If he is willing to come to a Sydney team it will be roosters, 750-800 k on the books plus cash under the table, their is no way he chooses us.

I reckon might come to us, if we paid him $1.2m a year for maybe 3 years. That's what I reckon we'd have to pay to get him.

I think he's worth spending big money on, not just for his footy but also because he will change and drive the culture of the team.

He's an out and out competitor- which is what we lack and desperately need.

I don't think there's another marquee player we could or would want to get.

Try and forget about it ... and you might get a bike for christmas

Interesting to note that not only is Brandon Smith off contract at the end of 2022 but Harry Grant actually has a Mutuak option for 2023 so if effectively off contract at the end of 2022 at this stage as well. I say go all in for Harry


last year showed having Grant in our team isn't priority and I would extend that to Smith as well.

We had Grant and still missed the finals terribly, we have far more important areas to fill before throwing marquee money at Hooker.

Agreed, They’ve also got Lam as well who's probably better than Hutchinson.

I didn’t say that did I. I just said I don’t want Keary because he is cooked. The guy will have to retire soon

Without Grant we’d be last.

But seriously, I’d throw 1Milly at Grant. Even 1.1..

The influence and everything he had on the whole of Wests Tigers, I actually never felt or seen that effect a player can do to a team.

What do you do with the two capable hookers we presently have?

The 19 yr old nsw cup player or the injury riddled bloke who missed 8 tackles vs the Warriors and left dummy half empty and tjrows a bunch of average passes. You give them to someone else snd take the Origin star

I'd take Brandon Smith over Grant as it stands. The benefit of Smith is he doesn't get pulled out of the team for Origin duties.

Liddle shows glimpses, but his best is well behind Grant or Smith.

Smith plays with an intensity that Grant doesn't. Both top players, but they approach the game differently. I think Smiths intensity around dummy half and in defence is what we need at the Tigers right now.

I don’t think that being a benchie will sit well with Grant when he I he knows he can be a starter and get more money elsewhere .
