I'll be the elephant in the room here - I wouldn't be going after Paulo - for the sort of money he will want I'd be putting those funds towards luring a top shelf halfback to replace Brooks.

If we’re targeting a high profile prop to partner Stef, it’s Welch or no one. Better off building from within with the young props coming through. Plus Twal and Stefano would be a great prop pairing

Exactly right, we've got some top juniors coming through, a few of which will play KOE in 2022, and hopefully one or two are ready for FG in 2023. Fonua Pole is one player I'm really looking forward to seeing develop - he'll play Flegg in 2022 (came off the bench several times this year), but he's special, which is why the club probably wasn't too torn up over losing Mavoni. Pole could be a smoky in 2023 given he's training with the top squad now - just don't know how high his ceiling is.

He looks fit too, have heard a lot of good things about him.

Prop-wise we have Stef, Twal, Mikaele, Seyfarth, Musgrove plus Ofahengaue and Tamou (and good young prospects coming through). I see the centres is the position we need to find quality, more than prop.

I'd throw the trust fund at Jarome Hughes.

I suggested oregan kaufusi , he’s young would not cost a lot , and he is a dam good player , he could grow with our other young guns

True. The half , 5/8 combo is critical for success.
Hopefully by mid to late in season 22 we have a good idea who is our long term 5/8 and what Hastings position is.

Jahrome I get the feeling is one of those players who'll regress out of the Storm system unless he heads to an equally established powerhouse (i.e Roosters, Souths, Panthers)

That's for 2024, he is contracted to them for 2022 and 2023.

Second Row still an issues for 22 unless we have some run guns step up.

We have a truck load of issues in 22….23 is looking the year things might start to improve

If Brooks can’t play behind this pack with maybe one more addition I’ll join the haters.

Twal
Hodgson
Stef - expect improvement
papalii
Blore - expect improvement
Peachey/Hastings

14. Peachey/Hastings
Tuilagi
Seyfarth
Musgrove

Look at the bright side can't be worse than 21.

Fox Sports reporting that despite losing Papali'i and Niukora and Hipgrave being forced to retire that Parra are not going to offer Matterson a new deal and want him gone after 2022. That would be all time hilarious

The writing was on the wall in the last few weeks of the season. I don’t think he even played either of their finals. Wouldn’t surprise me if he’s gone before 2023. If his personality wasn’t bad enough, he’s also a concussion magnet. Idk who would want him.

Matterson has lots to offer. Imo he's never been afraid to do the hard work on the field. I'd be glad to have him back next year now we have papali'i.

The Eels are starting to look a bit skinny for back rowers. Wonder if they could be interested in a swap for Garner this year?

Or Luciano?

I fear this a fair bit.
So the Eels have dropped:
Hipgrave
Papalii
And another player too Warriors. They did re-sign RCG so that is probably why.
..

Loving it if we can raid the Eels. Looks like Nathan Cayless was a good hire.

His personality would not stand a downgrade in payments from us to return to our club, his asking price has suffered a devaluation since joining the slimmers mainly due to concussion and injuries
