If we did sign Cotric would he start or just be depth?

Depends how much they pay on his 650k not worth that amount ,will be us or raiders and i think he always want to head back to Ricky

Why’s everyone complaining?

They lost friend and cordner this year… they’re under the cap..

Yeah, when you consider those losses you'd like to think that they're under the cap. And then you look at the rest of their squad being littered with Origin players and internationals and you start to realise there is no way in hell that they're under the cap. Sure, they lost a few key players but that doesn't account for the fact that nearly every single player in their starting 13 is a rep level player. Can't believe there are people actually trying to vouch for the Roosters being under the cap just because they lost a few players.

Exactly. It’s laughable.

Its never about who they lose its about who they have got. They never lose players to stay under the cap they lose players that they no longer want or retire, and replace them with equally good ones or better.

Lose Pearce gain Cronk. Lose RTS gain Tedesco. Lose Friend gain Cheese. It's like a constant upgrade system but never seems to cost them any extra money.

In a decade or so the Roosters spine will be Jesus, Zeus, Hercules and Superman, and all 4 will claim they are playing for the chance of a premiership and the Roosters professionalism.

Would a draft stop this sort of thing?

Points system would, based on what the market is willing to pay.

Cotric was injured basically all year and really looked like he didnt want to be there from day 1. They named him at centre a few times but even when they did he still played on the wing. The majority of his juniors were played at centre were he made all the rep teams. At his best the guy played for nsw and Australia, if we sign him he is straight away our best outside back, in fact Id say our best centre without seeing him playing a single game there.

Citric for 400-450k. Dogs have to pay 200-250k to get rid of him if they want to be cap reliant next year.

So the kid today makes 28?
Would be unbelievable if 29 and 30 were Cotric and Thompson.
That would actually make our recruitment a success and it would be exciting for 2022 - who would’ve thought hey?
If we could get Luki for next year along with Papali’i i think that could be a top 6 squad if Hastings fires
