Boy the quality of this forum has taken a dive since the the last lot of mods were moved on.
If it wasn’t for the occasional visit update from the Pom it would be down to backyard squabbles ….

I certainly agree with You about the quality of this Forum taking a dive.
But at the same time I dont feel there is anything wrong with a change in the Mods occasionally, as after a few years of doing the job you could become stale, overbearing and trigger happy without realising it.
An infusion of new Mods like @mike and @lauren for example, would bring new and fresh ideas with them to the admittedly thankless but so important task of Moderating the Wests Tigers Forum "with Respect".
This Forum is far to important to go down the drain due to some current posters aggression and disrespect shown to others.

@tigerballs Anything on Luki or Nanai as of late considering the border restrictions being eased?

It looks like we're going to get one of them but a swap for 2022 looks unlikely. Luki and Nanai are only a few dollars on a stretched cowboys cap whereas LL is 400 for us next year. WT would have to pay the Cowboys almost 300K for LL to play for them . We still may get our man as the cows simply can't afford either of them for 2022. The Dolphins are in the mix, obviously, but we'll get one of them. Up to Tim which one.

Numerous reports have said how the cows are extremely keen to get Lucy for 2022. They must have enough cap space to accommodate him, we wouldn't pay a cent for him to go and they know that. They need to pay full freight and offer a swap.

I find it very hard to believe cows have used all cap spaces and spent 100% of the cap for next year.

The Cows can't offer a swap because those two players are uncontracted. They have no bargaining power. If we want them, we have to make a satisfactory offer.
Is LL asking for the full $700k if he starts with them 2022 or is he happy to take what he is currently on. How does that benefit either him or WT?

Nanai doesn't have a contract for 22? I know Luki's contract status for next year is unclear but I thought Nanai was definitely under contract.

I would think Lucy would be happy to get what he's on and move, though he'd take whatever payrise he can get too, and so if one of the two cows players sign for 23 then the swap would happen immediately. We get rid of a lazy defender for a player who can hopefully play a big part in our future. Lucy gets stability via a long term big money contract.

The cowboys are an absolute mess at the moment if there low on cap space why even bother trying to get Luciano a year early? And not to mention signing chad townsand on 800 thousand a year

We pay a little freight and get their Junior sooner.
Let us throw in 200k, just they must let their junior depart and Join our club.
If we loose a little cap space in 22 to get the right person...i am 100% for this.

I think that is Luciano Leulia's Salary. (Wasnt he on 500k).

In short, I am saying lets do a reverse Mbye. If the Cows have Juniors that are going to be first grade Guns...Raid them now. 2022 is going to be a wipeout for us, lets get players we want now.

Lets not pay 750k even if the dogs pay 250k for a player worth between 150-400k. Loose LL now because he will probably be toxic, get someone we can actually build on for 2023.
