Wasn't Cleary chasing him at some stage for the Panthers? Well done WTs for re-signing him for an extended period.A great re-signing. No doubt a lot of clubs would be after him.

Add the other two development second row forwards and Guyan and depth is coming along nicely.the nucelus of our forward pack for the next 5 years is already sitting in our backyard.
Stef, Simpkin, Papali'i, Blore, Matamua, Pole, Seyfarth and Tumeth are all going to be cornerstones of our forward pack for years to come. Alex Twal is only 26 this year. we are in very very good shape.
I think we need to go into the market for Tariq Sims on a two year deal. uncompromising and from all reports an out and out pro plus he has played at the highest level. gives us time to ensure we aren't rushing the likes of O'Kane and Tumeth or Blore back from injury.
I'd look at CHN and Briton Nikora as well but for me I feel Sims would be perfect on a short term deal, similar to Peachey keeping the seat warm for Matamua to take over in 2024.
agree tariff would be typical of what wests tigers normally do buy a early 30's player an injury away from useless or already past his best. Tariq had a good origin stacked with good players around him that is about itTariq Sims did not have a good season, don't let his origin performance fool you. He's 31 and his football was getting worse and worse this season, I was personally never impressed with him when he played for Dragons.
He's about to turn 32, he doesn't make big metres, doesn't score a lot of tries and has defensive misreads in him. I'd much rather CHN than Sims
I think I could name the Rhode Scholar back rowers on 1 hand..We should stay miles away from Sims. We shouldn't worry about experience or leadership. We should be looking at quality edge forwards. Guys that can tackle and bust the line.
I reckon CHN is a really good player but he comes across as a moron and I'd like to think we can do better.
Agree - I read Sims had a career low in metres gained in 2021 and a career high in missed tacklesTariq Sims did not have a good season, don't let his origin performance fool you. Offer him a 2 year deal and come over ASAP. It will take him a while to adjust but it's worth a shot. Experienced, quality player.I'd rather take a punt on John Bateman. A change of scenery, a home with two other UK players and a good club like WTs might make all the difference.
He’s only 28 turning 29 at the end of the season. Could still produce some quality football over the next two to three years. Our mate Hooper wouldn’t like it either 🤣I'd rather take a punt on John Bateman. A change of scenery, a home with two other UK players and a good club like WTs might make all the difference.
Hastings, Brooks, T'oa, Tupou, Gildart, Ken, Nofo, Laurie. Kapoa and AD to come back. Couple of decent young fellas coming through. Looking pretty good in the backs.,,,Starford could be anything

I’m still scared we don’t have enough good first graders to teach our young blokes how to be first graders. Even Stef is learning his trade. Sims would fit.I think we need to go into the market for Tariq Sims on a two year deal. uncompromising and from all reports an out and out pro plus he has played at the highest level. gives us time to ensure we aren't rushing the likes of O'Kane and Tumeth or Blore back from injury.

With Blore going down we’re probably going in with Garner, not a bloke made for the trenches. Long year ahead.I can't believe we've waited this long to throw something at him...
A Pro, Aggressive, Experienced, Been through injuries....
He'd offer so much for where we're at right now.
I'd make him an offer he can't refuse.
Good point, papali will fill that role next yearI’m still scared we don’t have enough good first graders to teach our young blokes how to be first graders. Even Stef is learning his trade. Sims would fit.
