I agree that we aren’t good at controlling the ruck but there’s also times where teams just shift the ball off a regulation set piece and we can’t cope. We’re too lethargic and I can’t remember the last time we buried an opposition half back or five eighth. Lazy second rowers and average centres is not a good combo.

I’ve watched closely over a long period, Garner and Luc move up at 75% and you can see they just jog with the play as the outside backs make ours look silly. It’s waiting for someone else to fix it.

Josh McGuire is off contract at year's end. Bit of a grub, but would relish the chance to do the burying (of opposing halves). Maybe we need a player that only the fanbase can cheer for? 32, so only has a year or two left in him. Maybe 1 + CO for another 1?

Centre is all about decisions. Nobody is telling you what to do you need to read the play and act quick. It’s the hardest place to defend. Noff makes rash decisions and would be an epic failure there.

Noff’s problems also come from his inside men getting beat too often leaving him chasing butterflies.

First of all the opposition wouldn't worry about him because he's usually suspended. He gives away penalties often and to be honest the opposition wouldn't worry about him at all id imagine.

Actually,Taafe is a very interesting idea.Totally blocked at 1 and 7 at Rabbits
We probably need this season to sort out our own halves and then make a play for Taafe in 24,who did pretty well covering for Mitchell last year...but hes a natural 7

Cook has done nothing for 18 months,and Walker really missing his organising buddy now at Broncos...
The kid has been thrown in at the deep end,but figure the Bunnies arent stupid and he can play

Cobbo would be an astute pickup, we were after him last yr too I believe. he could start at centre and be groomed for the fullback jersey which would allow Laurie to slowly slot into the 6( his natural position)

Think the Cobbo jet already taken off!Just 19...and a standout...
Doubt Broncos will let him leave,particularly with 3rd party options available thru the show ponies(or whatever their backing group is called)!
Im unconvinced Laurie is the solution at 1,so we shld be looking at contingency plans
Not writing him off,but just being pragmatic in that we need more in this critical position
