Might be a coaching job up for grabs if the puppies get a flogging tonight, talk about Madge being under pressure,Barrett is going to feel doggies love big time
Yep. Ricky has got to be under pressure at Canberra. They're back to being the Faders and they have no game plan other than big boppers up the guts and Wighton running around like a chook with his head cut off. There's at least 2 coaches that should be under the pump more than Madge....
WT's just sell more papers than either of those...
I forgot Sticky....Yep. Ricky has got to be under pressure at Canberra. They're back to being the Faders and they have no game plan other than big boppers up the guts and Wighton running around like a chook with his head cut off.
Plus all the players wives hate him 🤣
I just don't see it. Since we've been linked to Nikora, I've paid a bit more attention to him, and he seems fine without being good. Decent defence, but I would rate him less than average as far as second-rowers go.Briton Nikora before Aiken 1000 times over. If fail to get Nikora, wait a year and throw the sink at Liam Martin for 2024.
Tapau is cooked IMO, Klemmer with Newcastle carrying some frieigt is a better option IMO
Agree.I just don't see it. Since we've been linked to Nikora, I've paid a bit more attention to him, and he seems fine without being good. Decent defence, but I would rate him less than average as far as second-rowers go.
Talau is going nowhere but the second row next year .he’s highly rated by the club for good reason .
Say what you want but not swapping him for jac will prove to be the right choice in a few years .
He was aways going there from the moment he debuted .
He's miles better than Aiken is more what I am alluding too. I think he's really solid in whats currently a very very good teamI just don't see it. Since we've been linked to Nikora, I've paid a bit more attention to him, and he seems fine without being good. Decent defence, but I would rate him less than average as far as second-rowers go.
I took note of Nikora last night and I'd put him on par with Garner.I just don't see it. Since we've been linked to Nikora, I've paid a bit more attention to him, and he seems fine without being good. Decent defence, but I would rate him less than average as far as second-rowers go.
Euan Aitken is woeful.Briton Nikora before Aiken 1000 times over. If fail to get Nikora, wait a year and throw the sink at Liam Martin for 2024.
Tapau is cooked IMO, Klemmer with Newcastle carrying some frieigt is a better option IMO
He's not woeful but yeah he isn't anything special and still better than what we have.Euan Aitken is woeful.
I'd say we have put an offer on the table and are not budging.I took note of Nikora last night and I'd put him on par with Garner.
Don’t think he’ll be as effective in the middle. The cowboys side does seem unbalanced in the way of backrowers. Will be interesting to see we’re Lucy fits in at the cowboys , they have 4 good backrowers at present all younger than Lucy , maybe they will convert him into a front rower as McLeans contract is up
There is talk he is knee is worth then thought and wont be back at all this yearWhat’s happening with Talau anyway injury wise isn’t he meant to be back similar time to Doueihi?
agree with Matterson and Aitken and lodgeU can forget Martin going anywhere , he is in the Cleary click .
These are my 4 players that I would target to make us a better team.
Lodge ( forget his past , he eats meters and is a good defender)
Aitken either backrower or center
Drinkwater covers half’s or fullback
Nikora or matterson to fill the backrower ( and again forget matterson pass he played his best footy here . )
A lot of our signings over the past two years were under contract with other clubs still...Right now the market is very very bare for backrowers.
If we want NRL experience it's basically Nikora, Proctor or our current bunch.
Matterson won't ever be back after what happened.
For props it's not much better however movement of contracts are being talked about alot.
Klemmer & Thomson. Off contract their is experience in Marty, Tamou, Vaughan, Lodge and a few others. Honestly keeping Tamou in his current form would be fine and grabbing another experienced prop I would be a fan of as feel our younger props are a good 2yrs off.
I think it's going to get increasingly difficult to sign quality players for next year given just how much of a factor the Dolphins are going to be. They have a lot of positions that need filling. At the moment they have only got 7 players signed and need basically a whole back line and spine. (Bold are already signed and italics are players they may target that are off contract in 2022).
1 Herbie Farnworth
2 Jamayne Isaako (they will aim higher for a fullback)
3 Taane Milne
4 Jack Bird
5 Taylan May
6 Matt Moylan
7 Sean O'Sullivan?
8 Jessie Bromwich
9 Jake Turpin
10 Jordan McLean
11 Kenny Bromwich
12 Felise Kaufusi
13 Ryan Matterson
14 Ray Stone
15 Mark Nicholls
16 Braden Uele
17 Thomas Mikaele
There is bugger all available in the spine unless they can convince someone to break contract, so they will likely be spending their money elsewhere and sweeping up any decent players like Farnworth etc. Thankfully they've already invested a decent amount in their 2nd row, so we shouldn't have to compete with them too much there.
