It was reported he had surgery for his vack problemAitken as a centre not a second rower- remembering he was a state of origin player-
gotta be disappointed with jet jackson - he must have been really crook not to have played yesterday
Don't think his contract is a big one he was on train/trial contract which is about $1000 pwDoubt sharks let him go that easily
Hodgo coached our reserve grade side a few years back...I think we came last that yearBrett Hodgson I think has done better as a coach in the UK than Sheens did (not saying Hodgson is a better coach than Sheens generally, but I hope we can get him back to the club in some role down the track).
I was thinking that reading between the lines….Jet to be medically retired potentially

Still hearing he is no chance. $$ being discussed with him were too low. My mail says he hasn't actually had a proper meeting with Tigers.......Has your info changed re Aitken?
Just put the jinx on bro🤣I’ve heard the whisper yesterday arvo about this one too. I think we get this done.
Im hearing he will become a wests tigers outreach ambassador for koori kidsWonder if we keep him around after that work with the koori kids coming through looking after their pathways maybe. As a player he'd lost it once he came here but i believe hes had a shift in attitude and could be good in a role such as that.
True but he hasn't been on his lonesome there - another 29 fill that category.Penrith probably have an off field role gift wrapped and ready for him. I don't care how well he's done over the last few weeks. The fact it's taken until round 7 in his second year to figure out he's here to play footy isn't enough to extend his pension contract with us.
Same horse different jockey.True but he hasn't been on his lonesome there - another 29 fill that category.
Free up a spot in the top 30 would be my guessJTJ signed only for this year....whats the point/advantage of medically retiring him?

If Roberts is medically retired doesn't that open up 2 top 30 spots that require filling before 30 June 2022?Free up a spot in the top 30 would be my guess
No need to go that far back, people will now quote you Papenhuyzen or even Preston's son.If Roberts is medically retired doesn't that open up 2 top 30 spots that require filling before 30 June 2022?
An outside back especially full back would certainly be one spot requiring immediate filling whether that would be Dykes or another player. Laurie appears to be too light for NRL and I know people will quote Preston Campbell but players are now built over 100 kgs.
Pretty sure the June 30 Deadline is extended to August or there abouts...If Roberts is medically retired doesn't that open up 2 top 30 spots that require filling before 30 June 2022?

Laurie appears to be too light for NRL and I know people will quote past players like Brett Hodgson and Preston Campbell but players are now built over 100 kgs which must make it hard for slightly built players to complete week in week out. Three 100 kgs players in a tackle now that is serious weight.
True. Papps has missed games but more to do with concussion than physical injuries. No need to go that far back, people will now quote you Papenhuyzen or even Preston's son.
