The current Management appear to have finally learnt from their recruitment fails.

I hope you're right. I still have low confidence levels.

To be fair they are making good decisions atm regularly.

I read sheens is in UK looking to recruit halfbacks to shore up that area if we lose Brooks and he's targeting Jake Maizen and Josh Mansour ?
Both these guys are wingers not sure how that bolsters are half's stocks

i read that article as they have no idea who sheens is looking at... on a side not mansour and maizen played great footy rah rah rah
not linking the players with sheens at all and in fact mentioned newcastle and sharks are looking at maizen

I'm no Gus fan, But he cops it just cos people don't like him....
I'd have him running my club in a heartbeat.

Not many know the game and have the gravitas that he does

I dunno about gravitas, but he certainly is doing his best to generate his own gravity of late.

It was reported he did, like the Bulldogs I think a few clubs are waiting on the NRL to formally commit the salary cap for next year to then have contracts submitted.

I love how he's not the victim, The media have been at him for 30 years and just don't get to him or past him.
Fantastic personality to have fronting a club, He knows more than most about the game, From admin to playing.... He's very rarely bested.

Whether is bad luck or bad planning we seem to be falling in a heap, subject to Brooks/ Jacko being true.
I would have thought if Brooks does go, then Jacko would automatically take over the 7 shirt, which, from what the Pom mentioned, is currently a hurdle in resigning.
I was amazed when I read Diaz was going to Manly, I thought we had developed him ready to move forward.
There are a few things happening at present that have me very concerned about whether they are making good decisions atm.

Foxsports article has a list of players off contract, Graham, Lodge etc and it has Andrew Fafita as likely going to Tigers
Just like Brooks and all the other signings I don't think the media has a bloody clue what Sheens is doing
When we signed Papali and Api no leaks I suspect no leaks this time when someone is signed too

if Hastings goes in 2024 and he is not seen as a 7 but a 13, Sheens is probably thinking we can get a good 13 in the market
