Signings, Suggestions & Rumours Discussion

Need some of the drugs he's on if he thinks he's worth that.

You and me both. I'm in shock. His career is on the line. He mightn't make it in the halves, he isn't a fullback, he is a liability in the centres defensively or in any position.

I'll go and ask for 900k of other teams and see if they are stupid enough to have a bite.

Well he’s certainly not a $8-900k player, yet.
He’s got to keep that educated ego in the real world.
My opinion on him is he is a centre trying to transition to 6, he needs to work on his defence and ability to create space for those around him to make that transition. I am happy for him to continue that transition but it wouldn't be paying him as a half, it would be paying him as a centre until he can show those improvements.

Gotta ask yaself...

Where did this info come from and why is it coming out on a Sunday morning?

Media spin....?

Surely he is self aware enough to know he isn't on that level, demanding an income of the likes of the best in the game.

There isn't 1 player in our squad deserving of such a high figure like that.

He'll need to win a lot of games next year to get anywhere near that price

Doueihi set to manage himself

Wests Tigers playmaker Adam Doueihi is taking over his own management and has placed a hefty price tag on his services.

Doueihi has been selling himself as a No.7 or No.6 to a rival club and is after a three-year deal worth at least $900,000 a season. I’ve been told by those with knowledge of the situation he wants a minimum of $850,000 for the first season, with his price going up in future years.

With a dearth of quality No.7s in the competition, it’s a good tactic, but it remains to be seen if a club will go for that price. He is a quality player, but has had knee issues in the past. Even with healthy legs, he is going to need a breakout season to reach that level of income.

There are about half-a-dozen $1 million halves in the NRL, headed by Nathan Cleary, Cameron Munster and Daly Cherry-Evans, but Doueihi is not in that class.

The Tigers’ roster is better than it has been and if he can cash in on good service from the likes of Api Koroisau, Jackson Hastings and maybe Luke Brooks he may mount a case for an upgrade.

Managing himself or playing with himself?

I don't think so mate. I think this has been the case for a while. That is why he didn't sign last season. He is after top dollar.

The players end up making these decisions for the club if the club is professional.
Wooden spooners.

Good luck to him though.
Might be able to get that coin..... in super league.

Maybe he can hit up Daniel Vidot and try and get into pro wrestling and make that WWE money.

Maybe try his hand at Hollywood also, be the next Dwayne Johnson.

.... we talking fantasies still right ?
