Not sure how releasing him to another team "while" we pay freight for him.Joffa released, will be Scott Fulton's first big move!
If he's off the books completely then good business!

If it’s true what we are paying Joffa, $450k this year and $600k for each of the next two years, the club would likely be thinking they can get better value for that money by putting it towards another player/players. Let’s be honest. He’s played low minutes this year and been workmanlike in his performances. You can find those guys for between minimum wage and $250k.
We had enough Cap Room spare to offer Moses $1.3, what does releasing Ofahengaue achieve? In the end we are overloaded with forwards and need a quality half or centre and Joffa on 600k a year is clearly the best option to move on.
It's a very good move.
My thoughts: I have watched him, has trimmed down and lost some bustling impact, but playing longer minutes, fitter and playing OK. Starting on the bench level. Not trying to be rude but the people screaming for James, have you watched him in any games apart from the raiders trial? The guy has heaps of flaws, I don’t believe he’s anywhere near first grade.
Exactly, getting rid of an expensive contract for a 40 minute player is a win for the Tigers. I don't understand why people think we need to get someone in return. We have guys coming through and more cash in the back pocket to make a splash! In the end we are overloaded with forwards and need a quality half or centre and Joffa on 600k a year is clearly the best option to move on.

An extra roster spot for a back that we need and unloading an overpriced player to a club that's desperate enough to want him.We had enough Cap Room spare to offer Moses $1.3, what does releasing Ofahengaue achieve?
Staying ahead of your cap is never a bad thing. We had enough Cap Room spare to offer Moses $1.3, what does releasing Ofahengaue achieve?
he won't be in the team SaturdayTigers just posted him in the gym an hour ago? What’s going on thought it was an immediate release

They shipped him to us. Doubt they want him back. Now we just need to tell the underbidder North Queensland that we're all out of Joe's but we have a hardly used Tuki for a bargain price.
Who's the Back were getting? An extra roster spot for a back that we need and unloading an overpriced player to a club that's desperate enough to want him.
Nobody specific, but at least we can be in the game with a spot available.Who's the Back were getting?
Thats code for Forfeiting. Better run Clubs never need to have Millions in the hope of a player becoming available 2 years from now.Staying ahead of your cap is never a bad thing.
If there's a big fish on the market at the time, you're well in the fight, if not, contracts remain front ended across the squad which keeps cap space available into the future. This future-proofs your options when it comes to the future player market and can insure teams against having money at the 'wrong' time only, as we have now.
Eventually, the market turns and it's a buyer's market flush with quality off contract players. Front-loading and being patient with your funds allows the Tigers to sit in wait and be well equipped to make an impact on the market at that time, whether it's '24, '25 or '26.
These decisions aren't always about the current season only...
We extended him before we signed Klemmer and Bateman to be fair. And Twal and Pole are this season also out playing JoeThere must be more to this you don’t just release a player you just extended for 2 more years if you don’t have to
He doesn't need to be top 30 to play NRL this year. Why don't people get thisThey are ready now. Astasi James is going to kill it. Need the spot for him to be top 30
