Apparently Jake Simpkin will be a rooster in 2024. My source is the same bloke who told me a little while back the fainus were 100% coming to us but also the same bloke who told me Mitch mosses was signing with the tigers so take it how u please. Just thought I’d throw it out there

Would like to see a Sezer/Sullivan combo next year with Fainu/ Galvin in cup. Then Sullivan and whoever is best the next year. We also need to remember Sullivan suffered from Covid shutdowns which affected the development of so many in that age group plus playing under Griffin.

I’d happily take Smith off them without hesitation. He’s the real deal.

The kid like Blore has had some bad luck but if he gets an injury free run is quality.

Newcastle keep chasing halfbacks.

Weird because there are so many people in here telling us we are fools for losing Hastings.

Why are they looking at halfbacks??

For the record- Sullivan would be a great addition. Very much an attacking option, and given we just seem reluctant to go AT the opposition, he might give that drive required.

BUT...don't overspend simply because we need depth.

Tigers are short a centre (Alamoti- agree with Teddy23) & I'd say 2 wingers.

Staines would take one of those wing spots if re-signed, pushing Nofa from 'starter' to 'fighting for the spot'. (That is if he stays). I don't think Tupou is a problem, but I also think he needs to be safer under kicks. He could be a centre. We need a winger that doesn't cost us wins. Doesn't have to be a star, just has to not be a liability. I know Hymel Hunt gets no love here, but he would be a perfect 3-4 winger at the club for when Tupou/Staines/Nofa hit the wobbles.

Enari Tuala would be my choice from the Knights. Hasn't got much of a chance this year but has 88 nrl games and is only 24 so will be looking for an opportunity snd can play centre or wing.

Hoping the Tartak connection with Sullivan works in our favour.

But, additionally, I hope the club doesn't load up on all of Tartak's stable. We just seem to be linked to anyone he's got at the moment.

Of course, I'd be equally happy to bring back another 'safe' player in Paul Momerovski.

He would certainly add a calmness to our defensive structure, either at centre or wing. Momerovski & Hunt side by side might be one of the soundest defensive edges in the NRL, but probably a bit lacking in excitement.

I reckon Sezer/Sullivan should start the season assuming we get them.

Fainu’s time will come and if we start him from round 1 there is a very good chance he’ll start to burn out mid way through the year.

I’d be starting Sezer and Sullivan with Latu at 14.

Injuries aside, there's no chance we start the year with Sullivan and Fainu in the have. Zero.

I know Alamoti and his family pretty well - very very humble kid who works hard and doesn’t drink or do anything. All he does is train and wants to improve himself, he definitely has a winning mentality that you would want in your squad for someone his age.

Killed it in the juniors not just cause of his size but he’s actually quite quick on his feet and is hard to contain was a tackling busting machine from memory. He’s still only 19 so he’s only going to get bigger and more agile imo.

Only issue is defensively but I believe he can definitely clean up that area. He’s just still adapting to defending in the NRL and can get there overtime, I personally feel like he was rushed into the league and maybe needs more time in reserve grade or another pre-season. He has the talent for sure to be an elite NRL centre people forget about his age and just think juniors should adapt instantly when in reality it is quite challenging to make that switch so smoothly so quickly.

He’ll be cheap (which is surprising given his high wraps) and he’s in a position we need depth in quite significantly imo - I would definitely consider bringing him in on a cheap 2 year deal to see what he can do. Worth a crack… the perfect low risk high reward kinda signing imo.

Quick on his feet, compared to whom? Talau??

He's a weaker version of Talau, we need something different to another short,slow and skilless centre. We need pace

Two centres I wouldn’t mind us looking at Billy Smith from roosters and Braidon Burns from the dogs, both wouldn’t break the bank and are specialist centres.
And think both are off contract at end of year.

They can take train and trial contracts. Better than having the likes of Kioa lining up in the centres in Cup instead
