I'd chip in up to 200k to get Nofa off our books and use some of that money to retain Staines, then find a cheap young tall fast winger looking for an opportunity at NRL level.

Would any club pay Nofo 300k per season ? I can't see it happening. I reckon we have to wear it until some kid comes through and deserves the spot. What we can't have is coaches who won't pick the kid because we could end up in a situation like losing Koro or JAC.

He does. He still belts it up. It's more the cost of his contract and the fact we have a backline that is struggling with not enough pace.

I honestly think we've got him on the books for the next 2 seasons and we just have to make do.

Why stop at one “whipping boy”?

There are about half a dozen that deserve that term

Only chance I think is England and the Tigers would need to contribute over half his salary..

In regards to halves I'm hoping Sullivan and Fainu are our halves for the next 15 years and so our juniors won't matter so much.

Nof has been disgraceful. The sheer laziness, incompetence and brain explosions.
Every time he gets selected is an insult. Especially if Tupou is playing in the centres.

Excuse me, but did you notice in the match against Raiders, the intercept on own 10 metre line gets a 3 to 4 metre start on opposition and before the halfway mark 4 raiders rounded him up.

Would that not make you question Nofo's value to our team anymore, when being a winger is about having speed, and he no longer does.

Also his defence this year is terrible.

He cannot defend high bombs on the line.
His attack consists of running 10 to 20 meters accross field and 1 or 2 meters forward.

I love Nofo for how he has played for us in the past.

But honestly his use by seems to have arrived.

Anasta actually bristled at the report that manager Mario Tartak (via Carayannis) was complaining his young players were not receiving adequate teaching to develop their games.

Anasta stated in no uncertain terms that he knew Benji & Sheens well - and that players would definitely be learning a lot!

There are rugby league people - and there are random spectators who never get it!

That would be coming from Fulton as well not learning

I can see a Super League club paying $250-$350k for him (if not more as he can play FB as well). That's probably our only hope.

But because like with another player weve let leave the club, we will keep playing these players because they are being paid big money, nothing to do with winning or losing, we have to have them in the top side because of how much we pay for them, so we just have to lump it.

But the ordinary supporter would be dropping the player not performing and promoting the best winger from reserve grade, and saying forget what it cost, we want to win.

The average club would have a reserve grade winger. We don't.

Apart from Super League, the only clubs that may consider Nofa are:

- Eels (lacking depth in outside backs & a 2nd starting winger)
- Knights (with Dom Young heading to Roosters)
- Dolphins (probably have the cap room & may see the benefit in experience)

Pearce would not come here on 250k. If he wanted to return to Australia that badly, Easts/someone would pick him up again.
