Signings, Suggestions & Rumours Discussion

As a fullback or centre?
Either , he is a class competitor
Yep exactly! This rumour did come from a Buzz article today & we all know he is fed info from their manager Isaac Moses with an agenda. I take the bit about Klem with a grain of salt as he is well respected amongst the playing squad.

If they are both at the WT next season, they will have to work hard for their top 17 spots in the pre-season otherwise off to NSW Cup you go.
Ur kidding , they will have to play , because we got bugger all in the lower grades , and we haven’t recruited the extra forwards that we really need

Theres nothing wrong with optimism, when its supported by reason. The facts are our forwards have sucked for the past 3 years and have gotten weaker. The lump of monkey turd we bought from Cronulla wont make a dent.
Should we sign a couple of real mongrel workhorses with rep potential skill, my optimism will rise. It wont rise just because I want it to though....

I'm beyond bitter ....as most should be by now

Our top 30 is stacked for wingers. Not sure why we were ever chasing Montoya.

I still think right centre is our biggest hole as it stands. I think Turuva should be left wing and Skelton right wing. I suppose this means Olam left and Bird on the right.

Late in the season we were trying to play Staines at right centre which was a disaster.
We need to separate a bit of fact from fiction, first time Montoya was mentioned was from a poster here claiming we had signed him, later media reports suggested his manager was the one who reached out to the Wests Tigers to offer him.

Don't think it was ever claimed from reliable sources that the club were chasing him or even wanted him outside a few Facebook and X nuffies who have a near 0 percent strike rate with their rumours.

There'd be almost a dozen blokes on the Website that hit the Squad just this year - Plenty of them with not much output (That's not past management)
Staines, Doueihi.... Also not past management...

Ignoring the facts hardly makes them 'Lazy'
Neither does cherry picking examples and ignoring the obvious ones to help your argument.

No one is referring to Charlie Staines or Adam Doueihi as the key space-wasters in the squad for 2025.

You know that and are being deliberately obtuse.

Who exactly are the 'dozen or so blokes who hit the squad this year' that we can attribute to current management, or 'not past management' as you put it?

I wonder if it was us dragging our heels on signing Kobe , it’s seems like we took for ever , then Madge comes in and says he wants him to stay . So he s Richo going to stick with what we have , if that’s his plan GOD help us

Yep, 2026 is the year we move.
Next year is all about preparation, teaching the kids to playand determining how many of the exstablished can grow.
2026 will see a decent influx of talent and if done correctly will mark the beginning of our title surge.
So November 1 Richo needs to get busy !!

Not that simple.

All clubs go through phases where they're flush with spaces some years and more full others.

We're flush with money this year, but short on spots due to past management decisions.

There'll be years where it's the complete opposite.

(Though no team should ever be as clogged as we are at the present time; that's been a giant cock-up).
Use that money to pay a few players out

The truth seems to be that we have a plan when it suits us ( to excuse losses) but we are more than willing to abandon it when the occasion arises, such as a JAC.

Following on with the controversy, I’m content to sign JAC on the right terms with a pay-back clause if he allegedly fibs again.

But this indignation and pearl grabbing from Gus is a bit sickening. He’s been spinning since he was in the crib.

His photo of him, Kiks and Baz was a great example of his integrity.

Getting booted from the bulldogs for integrity issues is a bit of joke where historically, the club is well known for having the worst behaved fans and players. When Willy Mason is considered to be sage, your club has issues.

Still, it’s a bit of a circus without the gritty forwards we desperately need to climb to 13th or 14th or wherever we need to be next season to claim progress.

IMO I dont this this is dead in the water yet.
In all interviews he has said "AT this stage I am here to stay" Even on the sport radio this morning he said it which make me feel we are still a chance as he clearly wants to start..
