So u seen what happened to brooks when he left , most on here said he was hopeless boy did he kick sand in peoples face , if Bateman goes too and had a brilliant season , would it not make sense that something is wrong with our coachesTotally agree, the senior players should be setting the standard. Bateman is a cry baby pommie whinger who can piss off to Manly and get a tan.
Aside from the attitudinal/relationship issues which I’m not sure can be addressed, I think we need a strike edge forward. He just didn’t seem to have any tackle busting ability. I am not sure how much is fair to stump up for him to play elsewhere however I think we need more than he offers. If we pay 200/300 k to manly to let them have Bateman it’s a poor decision.
Bateman is a player who never gives up in a game .
Bateman is a solid defender .
Benji could be the problem being suck a rookie coach old Johnny who has been round the block may have just blurted out the truth , they need a sit down as we are already in need of 2 props and a back rower , why pay up to 300 to get rid of one
Personally don't think he kicked sand in peoples' faces. Just had better cattle around him to help him better than our plodders could. So u seen what happened to brooks when he left , most on here said he was hopeless boy did he kick sand in peoples face , if Bateman goes too and had a brilliant season , would it not make sense that something is wrong with our coaches
Two things can be true at the same time.So u seen what happened to brooks when he left , most on here said he was hopeless boy did he kick sand in peoples face , if Bateman goes too and had a brilliant season , would it not make sense that something is wrong with our coaches
Brooksy played like he did when Benji was running the show at the back end here . The same level . Throw in someone like Turbo who just attracts defenders by being there , and there was plenty of space for brooksy to play well .Two things can be true at the same time.
No to bothtwal to prop, seyfarth back row - works for me.
According to this MSN article, JAC has been unable to secure a contract with a rival club. Flanagan is obviously interested but not at $500,000 pa. JAC may have to cut the budget on luxury items to cater for his new contract.
I'm sure Richardson will be doing his best for WTs to have the strongest 30 possible for next season.Just read that, he's with Tartak too,, throw him a life-line
If we weren't tied down to these bullshit top 30 contracts
For the culture we're trying to build having a guy who got on the bags the week of his clubs biggest game in years & then proceeding to lie to the club about it... not someone we need.Just read that, he's with Tartak too,, throw him a life-line

For those who cry out there are no attractive forwards on the market I have listed some that would be worth a chat;No to both

not opposed to us sending off batemen
penrith had 1 million of their cap in 2019 taken up by players who were at other clubs
You do realise off contract 2025 means they can't play for us until 2026 right?For those who cry out there are no attractive forwards on the market I have listed some that would be worth a chat;

This should get the keyboard warriors raring to go!
Nah. I thought he was poor for a million dollar halfback. He's just fine as a cheapish second fiddle. His play hasn't been better. So u seen what happened to brooks when he left , most on here said he was hopeless boy did he kick sand in peoples face
If we can offload Bateman, Frizell would be immense for 2 years. He could lock down our right edge, is a consumate professional in training & effort, provides more experience and IMPORTANTLY would be a barrier for our upcoming backrowers in 21yo Lachlan Broederlow, 20yo Tony Sukkar, 18yo Archie Duncombe & 17yo Pheonix Godinet. He's one of Benji's best mates too.I'd stop using ONLY the Bulldogs as the forward pack comparison to strive for.
Dolphins & Dragons are very similar in quality, but play very differently again. Just because we are not identical in body shape with the Bulldogs doesn't mean the forwards we have cannot be effective in the right system & environment.
Signing Frizell to replace Bateman- I'm sure we are all onboard with that. Just remember, signing 33 year old Frizell is different to 26 year old Frizell. It's all about expectation.
I would take JAC yesterday if it was possible. If Turuva is playing centre, this strengthens the outside backs even further. It also allows Skelton to play centre if Turuva ends up back on the wing. And it allows the club to move on players like Staines etc as well.
But again- 30 year old JAC is not 24 year old JAC. Expectations need to be realistic. He's an upgrade, not a superstar.
