I think it's more to do with the toughness he displays. I'm not super excited by Hetherington, but he's certainly not a bad pick up.

Terrell May is an exciting pick up, if it happens. Hetherington is a strong pick up. There's a difference.

Any loan to the Roosters, you’ll never see them again. Besides, no one wants Sullivan. He‘s dead weight.

If they have a contract with us, they have to come back to us and if Roosters want let's say TDS for more time then they pay us a hefty fee.

And if that's the worst case scenario, it's still worth pursuing.

I think we are of the same view, however at the risk of being too pedantic on semantics, I would say they deserve the chance to earn their redemption.

By which I mean there'd be more clauses in their contracts than Golem dressed as a tiger at Halloween....

Manase was looking to be one of the best 9’s in the comp before his incident. Would be worth giving him the chance although I’m pretty sure his shoulder is/was completely cooked, there’s a real possibility even without prison his NRL career could have been over by now

Yeh, exactly, he is just as, if not more talented than the other boys.

If he chooses football post, there's every chance he could work his way back, NRL permitting.

I think I would take Latu if it means we keep all of the Fainu's

I think Latu has the higher ceiling in the halves. He's a 15 year NRL player.

Galvin could be anything. Literally anything. His greatest strength his how much he's on the ball. That is hard to teach.

I know I danced around your question, but for now, I'd probably lean more towards Latu. In many ways you know what you're gonna get with him into the future. Starting half.

If you build a squad around Galvin being a long term 5/8th and then his growth makes it difficult for him to be effective there, it could present squad balance issues into the future.

A good problem to have and it probably goes without saying we should be moving heaven and earth to keep both if we can.

Still not sold on Hertherington. Would much prefer a specialist edge backrow especially if Bateman goes.
Get May first then go hard for Nikora or Siua Wong or one of the young Melbourne backrowers few options out there

For our shortcomings, I think we need to prioritise another edge over a lock.

I say that knowing full-well that lock has long been a issue for us.

I just feel that our stop-gap options at lock will be far less disruptive than our stop-gap edge options.

Heard with Terrell May a big issue is roster spots so with Tigers trying to pay 300k to move on from Bud do we think thats confirmation that we will be the top contenders for him? Not only this but obviously Batemen looking on his way out and Doueihi possibly going to the dragons

Galvin was outstanding on the left edge in the second row. Perfect ball player to set up players inside & out.

Tigers HAVE to get their best players on the field, and Latu Fainu is one of their best.

He is that no nonsense mongrel we need. I will be shocked if he isn’t here next year. I too hope we land Terrell May. Has a little bit of everything in his game. He immediately makes our pack better. Just on Romey, how refreshing is it to have our marquee man be so pumped and positive to come here. During the season plenty of reporters tried knocking him on coming here but he not once didn’t have a positive response.
