I think anybody claiming they'd be stoked with that outcome in 10 months time is simply burned.

It would be extremely frustrating to bow out that way, even if it will be nice to be back in the hunt (hopefully) next year.

I think its fair for Richo to not say we'll just blindly accept a player who's been stood down pending criminal charges. Due process is very necessary.

First the player needs to be found not guilty, then they need to be interviewed and come across remorseful, professional and have put in place systems to help ensure such an incident doesn't occur again. Maybe gets further involved in the church or something.

If Richo asks him to demonstrate his maturity and he passes then i'm all for him! But he shouldn't just walk into the place because we signed his brother. Standards are important, especially in Benji's family club culture.

I agree with you there,
It’s more about the effort and circumstances than the position on the Ladder.
For us at the moment making the semi finals would just be icing on the cake.
I’m of the opinion that if we asked supporters of other teams which team other than the one you support had the worst 2024 season ?
The Broncos would win hands down.

As I said last week, enough is enough. Anything from 12th position and under will be an utter failure.
Anything between 11th and 8th should be treated on its merits...i.e. serious injury to stars preventing finals berths can be seen favourably. Having a go for most of the year but clocking off half a dozen times during the year and losing games we shouldnt...is a failure.
We need to make the 8. We need to be competitive for the title in 2026 and be a favourite to win it in 2027.
2025 is a year of restitution and there's no excuses this time.

Wholeheartedly agree with you Tucker, no more fluff pieces, no more excuses, we need to walk the talk and produce results in 2025 and then improve for 2026 with the addition of a few more signings to strengthen the side. Not entirely sold on Benji as coach, hope I'm wrong, time will tell.

Too many write our young players off way too early... They need a couple of seasons before an accurate call can be made
 
I think our halves pairing is a bit overrated by the media at the moment. On paper, Luai proved himself us a top shelf 7 and Galvin had the best rookie year of anyone I can remember.

However, they've never played together, and both are predominantly left sided players. One of them, assuming it's Galvin has to be just as effective on the right side and not getting as much ball as he did this year.

Potentially it's very good, but it's not going to be polished like Munster and Hughes from the start.

1-8 - success
9-12 par with the roster we have, Benji keeps his job
13-17 barring major injuries, abject failure Benji’s head on the chopping black

Spot on. Left side is stacked if you add May/Makasini,
option is to either move Olam to the right or somehow
land Staggs haha. With Pole re-signing & the recent
acquisition of Terrell we're good in the middle I think
(Hunt too, 2 for 1 deal 4 Stef) I would be seriously
looking at Johannssen shifting there after round
11 at some stage. This is all conjecture on my part.

Yeah every year supporters talk the team up. Aim for 8-12 position and it's a start. It is not a top 8 team yet. 2-5 are defensive liabilities, we have young players that are another year or so off.

If we come tenth I'd be happy honestly.

Brooks was serviceable as usual but still made some rushed mistakes as he's always done.

Cherry Evans has lost a step. No way they should be that high next year
 
The way teams play now, you have to incorporate the #9 & the #1 in the conversation. 6 & 7 on their own isn't a true indication of the direction had on the football field.

It's why the Storm are SO good- they have top 5 players in each spine role. Also makes teams like the Rabbits a truer reflection of their quality.

On 6 & 7 alone, no way the Sharks pair should be Top 4.

Raiders 6 & 7 are potentially a great combination.
