Signings, Suggestions & Rumours Discussion

Ultimate accountability rests with the Boss.

and they paid the price … Im not defending them… just pointing out that people are still blaming them for anything negative a year after their departure …. And I’m sure it will continue next season instead of blaming the people making the decisions now …

They paid the price way too late. And the result of that was two wooden sooons and leaving us with a roster virtually guaranteed of a third. Richo has indicated it’s a three year plan to fix it, which in my mind, would be a bloody big achievement.

yeah ..it was way overdue … we can’t change the past though right?

As I said to you yesterday …every media thing Richo does, he boasts about taking Penrith from the spoon to the premiership in two years ,,,, the “three year plan” is about getting them to the top of the table… not just fixing a shitty roster … let’s see how they go in Year 2 … Im hopeful of a big step …but not putting money on it …

It’s about fixing the quality and attitude of the playing group.

Probably one of my favourite stories from 2024 was Richo ripping into the laughing benchies at spoon bowl.

A clear sign the culture from days gone by won’t be tolerated anymore.

That was round 27. Would have been far more welcomed in the pre season.

Fair enough.

I think a large part of Richo’s first twelve months (which hasn’t even finished) would have been sitting back and observing. You need to understand the problems to fix them right.
Yes thats true. However he didnt need a full year of observing. He isnt absolved from the 24 spoon.

If we signed Luai for a straight 2 years everyone would have been happy. Sign hiim for 2 years with options and people death ride Richo. Not sure of their logic.
I have to admit if this IS true then it has lowered my opnion of Richo!!

He goes on about being a straight shooter and then pulls a deal like this!

It is on the nose.

Hopefully its just media BS and Richo is back to god mode!!
Still the same stupid clauses so idk.
"IDK" pretty well sums up your grasp on the situation, looking from both sides of the equation.
Wests Tigers and Luai both wanting to have a plan B. It's business.
I'm glad he signed; and think the safety clause for Luai is common senses on his part if the Tigers don't live up to their promises/vision on what is planned to get us off the bottom.
It's up to us now to make him want to stay.

Honestly, I would be happy to see Bula leave. He’s in the bottom third of fullbacks currently and is on $700k+. He just lacks that desire to be involved. It’s a shame O Large left (he didn’t want to play fullback anyway) and Mikey Nasser also left. I believe either would have been gun fullback replacements in time.
I reckon Turuva would be better at fullback, given some coaching by Hodgo.

Pretty sure he’d own it like a man safe in the knowledge he’s making the changes required.

Also, didn’t take them long to ship Noffa, there’s plenty of evidence of good moves throughout an otherwise disappointing campaign.

Port Macquarie ( Service Centre) Macca's is one of the worst in the country for food quality & service. Goulburn comes in a close 2nd though it is always the dirtiest. The bins are always over ful, there's rubbish everywhere both inside and around the carpark even blowing down the road when it's windy.
Hey tigerdazz, you should try the chew n spew at the taree service centre, you might re-evaluate port and Goulburn
