Signings, Suggestions & Rumours Discussion

Staggs at lock?

If KPP signed here, I wouldn’t be opposed to releasing Galvin to get him early

I think he slots into Seyfarths spot and Seyfarth adds aggression off the bench, Bird for depth
Nah, leaves us short in the halves. We can wait. Old pond scumalvin is not on much, he’s worth the support to bring Latu through to be a regular starter.

Last night KPP had 13 hit ups for 138m with 62m post contact, 46 tackles and 6 missed. Ideally you’d like to see a few less misses but that is significantly better output than either of our second rowers have produced all season.

He’s averaging 112m per game compared to 63m for Seyfarth and 75m for Fainu, and his tackle efficiency is better than Fainu.

He’s a massive upgrade on Seyfarth and at this moment in better form than Fainu as well.
He travels all over the field good attitude. Always hurts opponents in attack and defence. If on a better team he could be a weapon. Good Smokey type of player good offload also.

a few suggestions were made at the start of the year with Richo's visit to Pommie Land that a few signings from there would land in 26.
Not many in Super League really fit our needs.

Junior Nsemba - just extended last season for the long term with Wigan.
Mikey Lewis or Bevan French - possibly but would not have been on Richo’s radar 12 months ago.
Jack Welsby - not in a position of need for us.
Herman Ese Ese - yes if the price is right. Him & Hunt off the bench would be huge for our middle rotation.
Kaide Ellis - Wigan lock, maybe.

Two who may have come in calculations for us as depth signings are Tyrone May & Bayley Sironen.

A few things richos English visit appears to have been about buying super league from his recent pods.
Kpp would be a real.solod addition young hungry and constantly good.
After watching hetherington I really don't see the hype tbh he is your stock workman and I don't think he is great at that. 40 mins a game 80 average run meters

He would be further down the pecking order at the Bunnies i would think
Doesn’t make sense from our perspective either. We have 3 available spots in top 30 for this year, possibly 4. Plenty of cap room, he wouldn’t be on anything at all and we are slim on forwards

How does it make sense to let him go immediately unless we have someone in return?

Please let’s not talk about bringing past players like Hastings or Matterson back to the club- we need to move forward not backward. These guys weren’t great when they were here last time and haven’t been since they left, so why would we want them
Matterson was good, sometimes really good but injured for quite a bit of the season, I think. Hastings was fine but not for the starring role we bought him for. He must be a weird personality because he's never gotten along anywhere he played.

This!

Parramatta have the worst forward pack in the comp and he cant even get a look in... He's on 800k and even at a discounted rate, this isn't the standard we should be even be considering.

He isn't better than anyone in our best 17, and even as a cup signing he would be on 500k+ (assuming 300k is subsidised by Parra).

It would be the biggest backwards step we could make. Not worth the money, shown he's not a team player, disrespected the club in the past and is not a cultural or game style fit. This should not even be mentioned again. Let Parra waste 800k on their cap on him this year and next and continue on our own path.
