Most teams use damaging back rowers that we just don’t have, which makes your shift movements much more predictable.

Last year we only scored 20+ 8 times from 24 games, this year its 9 times from 15 games so we have clearly improved in attack.

Has been down the last few weeks given we have had injuries in key positions but also games against Raiders and Panthers where they didn't score many either but also both great defensive sides.

Our centres and wingers have been much better this year, finishing more tries. The next step is to get our other edge players firing, a dynamic second rower who draws in defenders is a must.

Completely agree.. Its amazing we won as many games as we did early in the season considering. From round 1 we've looked flat in attack.

I think the problem stemed from having Luai at 7 to accommodate Galvin.

This has impacted Samuela massively. He has been non existant this year. He was better when we had sezer and Galvin last year because of the structure that Sezer brought.

Where I see the light is with Latu at 7 he straightens the attack and creates that structure close to the opposition try line... But he also has the ability to react to what he sees and is quick of the mark, creating space and setting up players around him. That role doesn't suit Luai at all, it doesn't come naturally. Latu has scored 2 tries at leichardt oval that I remember and both were close to the line... I also recall him setting up one or two also?

So the shift of Luai back to his natural 6 and playing Latu at 7 is 💯 the answer to our problems, in my opinion. It was a real shame we didn't get to see Jarome and Latu against manly. I am quite positive it would have excited when the most cynical on here.

Its just a shame we have to wait till the Warriors game to see it in action again.

Sam Fainu was busting tackles last year, this year he just seems to get tackled more easily. Definitely not 100% if you ask me.

Yeah he was but I think that was also to do with the quality of ball service, which generally stems from the 7.

Last year I recall Sam was getting the ball alot closer to the defensive line, making it harder for the defender to set up and giving Sam a better opportunity to knock blokes over.

This year it seems like Sam's been getting the ball way before the defensive line.. he is taking hit ups like a prop and not playing that sharp outside backrower role that makes him the player he is .

I could be wrong, but thats just how I have seen it .. I guess we will see vs the warriors

No doubt. The Galvin situation has probably impacted him more than other players form-wise.
 
We're going to back Benji to the point of stupidity because otherwise quite simply Luai will walk.
The true test comes when the clauses are expired and were still not improving more dramatically.

Also the noise around Benji and personal disagreements with players is coming out far to often to be a coincidence. Theres most likely a fair amount of truth to it, if so Benji needs to wake up and start acting like a head coach not a team mate.
