BWG is this true?IMO he was overrated. Slower than Galvin. Will not be missed.
Siro is famous in Italy .I’m currently touring Italy .. arrived in Rome this morning at 5am .. got to hotel roughly around 6am .. couldn’t check in so the Mrs and I walked down to the corner cafe for a coffee and croissant on the Main Street of downtown Rome .. out the blue into the cafe comes this bloke wearing a NSW Blues cap .. so I shouted outed out com’on the Blues .. the bloke looks at me and smiles. I get up and shake his hand .. and I introduce myself and Mrs to none other than the Great Paul Sironen .. wow .. what are the chances of running into Siro in Rome .. !! 😃😃
Disappointing as we had seemed to put a lot into Marc’s development. Thought he really progressed this season as a game managing halfback. Not x-factor, just solid. His main area of weakness imo is his running game & ability to dart through the line. Not sure if slower than Galvin.BWG is this true?
Imagine how Sirro is feeling right now.I’m currently touring Italy .. arrived in Rome this morning at 5am .. got to hotel roughly around 6am .. couldn’t check in so the Mrs and I walked down to the corner cafe for a coffee and croissant on the Main Street of downtown Rome .. out the blue into the cafe comes this bloke wearing a NSW Blues cap .. so I shouted outed out com’on the Blues .. the bloke looks at me and smiles. The thing with the ESL team coaches is the role is more of a team manager role along with being the head coach due to the lack of available funding for support staff. Would be perfect with that experience.Richo mentioned on the James Graham podcast early in the season he really rates Paul Rowley (Salford coach) in the ESL. Rowley was moving into a GM of Football there next season until the club went broke. I wonder!!!
Weren’t Galant and Harrison heads of pathways of each junior club (Balmain and Wests).“The quality and strength of our Pathway both next year and beyond is heavily influenced by the coaching and mentorship our players are exposed to, we’re very happy with the variety of coaches who will be working across our programs in 2026.
Bronson Harrison Head of Pathways
Another that seems to have progressed quickly?
Rowley would be a good get imo but I don't think the club would pay what he could get a head coach in ESL, maybe wrong! Plus he doesn't fit our recruitment model of being aligned with Benji lolThe thing with the ESL team coaches is the role is more of a team manager role along with being the head coach due to the lack of available funding for support staff. Tannous out...Disappointing as we had seemed to put a lot into Marc’s development. Thought he really progressed this season as a game managing halfback. Not x-factor, just solid. His main area of weakness imo is his running game & ability to dart through the line. Not sure if slower than Galvin.
I would say the recruitment of Javon Andrews knocked Marc back a peg in the halves depth chart but still we’re not bursting with game managing halves in that 19yo+ age.
I think Lyles taking a leap as well , would have him wondering where opportunities are coming from .Disappointing as we had seemed to put a lot into Marc’s development. True, hope Liles & Matai do stick around on NSW Cup deals especially Max Liles.I think Lyles taking a leap as well , would have him wondering where opportunities are coming from .
Is there anyone in the SG ball age group next year who he’d be looking over the shoulder at ? I don’t think so …. He could have put his name on that flegg team for the next couple of years . Oh wells , to be honest I really think he is replaceable . Maybe the signing of Jock and Javon meant he had almost zero chance at Cup next year as well with Lyles and Matai sticking around . That’s a lot of bodies in his way .
If Burton is genuinely on the out at the Dogs and they are entertaining it, I would hope we are trying our best to get him as an 80 minute lock
Having him there would be the ultimate advantage
He’s the dogs X factor player despite all the focus on Galvin and Critto. I’d love to have him at WT.If Burton is genuinely on the out at the Dogs and they are entertaining it, I would hope we are trying our best to get him as an 80 minute lock
Having him there would be the ultimate advantage
I am surprised the Dogs haven’t explored that to allow Galvin to play 5/8 and Sexton 1/2
In saying that, his preferred position might be 5/8
Perhaps Api/Luai might be able to sway him
We should be aiming for players like Burton AND more power and aggression in the middle.Good player but not who we should be chasing with our remaining money …we need some more power and aggression in the middle …
Saint Siro where else would be be.I’m currently touring Italy .. arrived in Rome this morning at 5am .. got to hotel roughly around 6am .. couldn’t check in so the Mrs and I walked down to the corner cafe for a coffee and croissant on the Main Street of downtown Rome .. out the blue into the cafe comes this bloke wearing a NSW Blues cap .. so I shouted outed out com’on the Blues .. the bloke looks at me and smiles. The whole Galvin at halfback is the strangest idea I have ever heard. If Burton is genuinely on the out at the Dogs and they are entertaining it, I would hope we are trying our best to get him as an 80 minute lock

Sirro is not only a Tigers great, he's just great! If you ever bump into him anywhere, say hi and he'll be happy to chat back. Legend.I’m currently touring Italy .. arrived in Rome this morning at 5am .. got to hotel roughly around 6am .. couldn’t check in so the Mrs and I walked down to the corner cafe for a coffee and croissant on the Main Street of downtown Rome .. out the blue into the cafe comes this bloke wearing a NSW Blues cap .. so I shouted outed out com’on the Blues .. the bloke looks at me and smiles.
